Following Him Beside Still Waters
How reassuring, that He is always with us wherever we should go! (I love the Old English that the King James Version offers in this verse. XD)
I use the KJV for everything. Some versions distort the words of the Bible entirely too much. Nice post, lovely photo.

I do too. π Yeah, I agree. Also, I like to use the Strong’s Concordance and it works off of the KJV. π
Thank you! π β₯

Yes, I have the Strong’s Concordance and use it often. Glad to find someone who still likes the KJV

I’m glad to hear that! π Aww. π Reminds me of a song – “There ain’t no mountain high enough, ain’t no valley low enough, ain’t no river wide enough, to keep me from gettin’ to you…” π (Except I would capitalize the “Y” since I’d be saying it about Jesus. And I don’t know how the rest of the song goes so I may be taking this waaaaay out of context… π)

I LOVE it! I’d capitalize the Y for Jesus too–wonderful song, turned contemporary hymn!! π

Hebrews 13:5…”…I will never leave you, I will never forsake you.” The Lord is always there for us and with us.
Good post, Grace.

That’s a great verse; and that’s such a comforting thought. π I remember reading something similar to that one in Deuteronomy 31:8. “And the LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” (Moses talking to Joshua.)
Thank you! β₯

You are absolutely right, Grace. The Hebrews writer was referring to scripture in Deuteronomy when he wrote it! Actually it is quoted throughout the Old and New Testament in various places.

Oh! π That is really great. He wanted to make sure that message was heard, it seems. π

That is absolutely right…God wants us to know that through everything He is with us and will not forsake nor leave His children…

Especially when we read and then re-read it, it is so apparent it is a relevant book for all times and generations!

Yes! Amen! π It is definitely still relevant today.

Hi Grace! The word of God needs to be applied more so today than any time in the past few decades! The world is in such need of Godly guidance…

Hi Steve! π I agree wholeheartedly! And it’s so sad that many don’t even know they need His guidance…

You are so right, Grace. Many walk in darkness and don’t know any different. Sadly, the Lord may love them, but ignorance of Him is not an excuse. He shows Himself in every way, in the heavens and the earth.
May they seek the One who has made such wonder and awe, and may we do what we can to tell the story of Jesus…

Oh, that reminds me of Psalm 19:1: “The heavens declare the Glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork.” π I wish everyone could see that.
Yes! Amen! π

Not everyone wants to see it. It’s hard to believe, but there are many who want nothing to do with God. There are always several reasons given for that, but none of them will be good enough before God on the final day…

I actually do get that. Not many people know this, but when I was a teen, I completely rejected Him and that lasted for a few years. I wanted nothing to do with Him during that time, even though I pretended for my family. I finally saw the error of my ways, thanks to Him; I’m so thankful that He brought me back to Him!
Yes, there won’t be any reasons good enough on that final day…

Oh Grace, God works in such ways as this. I believe He will continue to call those whom He knows are “true hearts,” even if they wander away for a while. It happened to me after a failed marriage some years ago. I lived in a way I shouldn’t have for a few years until I came back to Him…
Enjoy your day, Grace!

Thank you, Grace. I’m glad He did too. I wouldn’t wanted to have died being apart from Him for that would be to lose heaven. Not interested in that one at all!

Oh, definitely; I’m not interested in that one either!
