Color Your World – Laser Lemon: Bee on a Wildflower

In response to Color Your World – Laser Lemon:

One day back in the summer of 2016, I stumbled upon some beautiful wildflowers and stopped to get a few shots:

bee-fore-bee

And then this happened:

Bee Dazzling

I originally posted this photo back in August of 2016 here: Bee-dazzling I still feel so blessed to have gotten this photo; I was taking a photo of the flower and the bee pretty much photo-bombed me.Β πŸ˜‚ God brought the bee at the perfect time, reminding me not worry, and bee joyful in Him. πŸ™‚ I must admit though, it was a bit difficult to bee not afraid when I saw this in my lens:

bee-mad

It did not like to bee photographed. (Sorry, I know I’m overusing the bee puns in this post. πŸ˜‚) It was looking right at me. I had no desire to get stung. So I stood up quickly and ran. It flew after me but thankfully didn’t sting me. XD

  1. We have this flower growing wild all over our state – it is beautiful. I have taken many photos of this weed. I have captured many photos of stinging insects. Normally they will not bother you, because they are too busy doing their thing. Beautiful capture of this bee-utiful insect. Ha

  2. Beautiful picture and I am impressed with your ability to keep camera still and get pictures of the bee at various stages of doing his thing. I think when I saw it in the lens that I would have dropped the camera and run. Perseverance gets some great shots!

Honestly, the amount of times I have been smelling flowers and noticed there is a bee an inch from my face… *shudders* I must look like a five year old as I run, screaming, trying to get as far away as possible XD
