In response to Color Your World – Laser Lemon:
One day back in the summer of 2016, I stumbled upon some beautiful wildflowers and stopped to get a few shots:
And then this happened:
I originally posted this photo back in August of 2016 here: Bee-dazzling I still feel so blessed to have gotten this photo; I was taking a photo of the flower and the bee pretty much photo-bombed me.Β π God brought the bee at the perfect time, reminding me not worry, and bee joyful in Him. π I must admit though, it was a bit difficult to bee not afraid when I saw this in my lens:
It did not like to bee photographed. (Sorry, I know I’m overusing the bee puns in this post. π) It was looking right at me. I had no desire to get stung. So I stood up quickly and ran. It flew after me but thankfully didn’t sting me. XD
Haha, nice pictures!

We have this flower growing wild all over our state – it is beautiful. I have taken many photos of this weed. I have captured many photos of stinging insects. Normally they will not bother you, because they are too busy doing their thing. Beautiful capture of this bee-utiful insect. Ha

That’s great! I haven’t seen a whole lot of these around where I live (I think we may live in the same state?) but I look forward to searching for them again this year. I love wildflowers. π
That is really awesome; have you posted any of your photos of the wildflowers or stinging insects to your blog? I’d love to see them. π
Oh, that’s good to know! π Haha, last spring I accidentally angered a small nest of some sort of small wasps and got stung in the shoulder, so I’m always extra careful now. π
Thank you! β₯ (And a bee pun! XD )

I posted a post called “pollinators” May 31, 2016. Had bumble bees, honey bees, and a wasp. I am in the state of Arkansas – are you near by?

Found it! Absolutely lovely! π Thanks for sharing those.
I think so! I live in Arkansas too. π By your photos, it looks like we may both live somewhere in the southern half of the state. (The land looks somewhat flat so I assumed you aren’t in the Ozarks. Haha. My assumption may be completely wrong. π)

Well hello Arkie. I married an Arkie decades ago. I am from the Wesr originally. Live in the country – 50 miles North of Little Rock. We have rolling hills in this area.

Hello Arkie! π That’s awesome. I live in the country too, but I’m south of you. (I think I may be only a few hours away from where you live! What are the odds, haha.) Rolling hills must make for wonderful photos. π

Beautiful picture and I am impressed with your ability to keep camera still and get pictures of the bee at various stages of doing his thing. I think when I saw it in the lens that I would have dropped the camera and run. Perseverance gets some great shots!

What an amazing shot! That must have bee-n hard to get π
Honestly, the amount of times I have been smelling flowers and noticed there is a bee an inch from my face… *shudders* I must look like a five year old as I run, screaming, trying to get as far away as possible XD
Great post! xx
