A Walk Through My Garden

I love gardening. Here are some shots I’ve taken over the last few years of things in my garden. First up are bell pepper blooms (yes, that’s an ant on it 😂) and fruit:

McMahon’s Texas Bird hot peppers – they are like little balls of fire!

I’ve never had a ghost pepper before; I’ve been told it’s hotter than habanero peppers. o_O It just turned red (and I haven’t even planted it yet!) and I’m excited to see what it’s like!

The blueberries are slowly ripening:

Eggplant bloom (the white stuff on the stalk is some insecticide; I had problems with someone other than me eating my eggplant) and fruit:

Tomatillo Gigante Verde blooms (Spanish giant green tomatillos; they are great for salsa! I’m not growing them this year; I grew them a couple of years ago and still have sealed jars of salsa left 😂):

Tomato blooms and not yet ripe fruit:

Okra bloom:

Squash blooms (with a bonus moth!):

Cucumber bloom:

My plants this year are coming along. I already have eggplant, tomatoes and peppers slowly growing on the plants. 😍 Unfortunately, when I was weeding, I came across some poison oak… but I’m trying to think of the fruits and veggies I get to pick in the fall and how it will be worth the itching I have now! No pain, no gain, right? 😂

  1. Lovely photos! I’m enjoying the time in my garden as well. It’s not large – as I live in a townhouse, but I love it! A small patch of wildflowers this year, lots of herbs, (Peppermint, Parsley, Anise Hyssop, Bee Balm, Oregano, Marjoram, Basil – cinnamon, regular, and purple, Cilantro, Thyme – lemon and regular), Cherry and Beef Steak Tomatoes (one each), and lettuce! I love watching each grow – each so different. God is an amazing creator!

  2. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I loved this one, not sure how I missed it! I have a “sensitive stomach” however, so I’m not sure how the hot peppers would do for me. I’d probably hurt myself!…hehe. Do you like the spicy stuff?

    🙂
