In response to Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge: Looking Up At Things:
Here are two photos I took last fall looking up into the trees. The vines growing up the golden leafed trees in these two photos made them my favorites of the ones I took that day. After getting this perspective, I felt as if I were as small as a thimble. XD
Nice photos. I see that big poison ivy vine going up that trunk. I am very allergic to that yucky vine. Lol

That’s… poison… ivy?!! π³ I definitely understand that; I hate the rash that stuff can cause. It’s the evil rash that keeps spreading and just won’t go away. Two years ago I got it on my ankles and it was awful. I’m very glad I didn’t touch it! π

The fuzzy things on the vine give it away. I have had poison ivy in my mouth, in my ears, on my hands, etc. Some of us can get poison ivy if we get in the smoke where they are burning that vine. Its awful – be careful.

Ooohhhhh. Haha, that’s good to know. (That tree is in our front yard…
I will keep my distance from now on, haha.)
Oh, my. π± That’s terrible! I can’t imagine it in my mouth or ears. At least on the hands or legs I can cover it in calamine lotion…
I’ve heard that about burning it; I’ll never burn it if I can help it. I’ll be careful! Thanks for the heads up! π

Chop the vine in two with an axe near the ground and let it die, but do not touch it after it is dead, it is still potent. At least it will stop spreading through the tree.

Thanks for the advice! π I almost hate to kill it since it has been growing there so long; that vine has probably been on that tree longer than I’ve been alive!

They spread their roots out from that tree, then vines start popping up in your yard. But, I guess you are allowed to do as you wish with your vine. Ha

Ha Ha – funny. I can see you chopping everything in sight. Just don’t chop your foot off. Poison ivy is a very invasive vine.

π I will try my best to keep my foot attached to my leg. π
That’s really fascinating, even though poison ivy is icky, haha. π I love learning about God’s creation!

It is! π β₯ I don’t know what kind it is, but it always creates fall magic first by turning gold before any of the other trees do. π

Wonderful perspective for looking up. Just love the texture of that tree even though it has poison ivy, β€

Thank you! π β₯ Yes, the bark’s texture is really great; I love the designs found in nature. π I’m glad that the tree doesn’t seem to be allergic to that poison ivy. π LOL.

The trees are awesome, Grace! No wonder you felt so small. I’m 6’5″ tall and I’d feel very little standing next to one of these trees. Nature is so fantastic and so large…it does surround us all!

It just is hard to wrap one’s head around the fact that God measured out all the spaces in the heavens and on earth and planned and created everything! If you like a “praise Psalm” read Psalm 40…

Hi! I found yours through Nikki’s Meet and Greet too. π (Your dad built a tiny house out of a bus?! How incredible!)
Thank you! π β₯ I see that you have a photography category (I haven’t explored it yet but I plan to!); do you take photos in nature too?

Hi!
Yes, my dad built a tiny house out of a bus. I wish that I were able to remember it better because I think that is just amazing!
I take quite a few photos of nature and that’s my preference for what I photograph. Most are shared on my instagram feed, but I do share quite a few on the blog. Thanks so much for stopping by! π
