Took this yesterday and it reminded me of autumn haha. Maybe it’s the orange background from the sunset. Have a wonderful day! ❤

The Meaning of this Tag:
Change can be difficult and heart-breaking, but it can also cause the greatest turning points in our lives. As the season begins to change for many of us in September, let’s reflect on the changes in our life, good and bad. It’s good to be honest with ourselves and see what changes still need to be made. It is also important to recognize the seasons in our life so we cherish them despite what comes with them. We hope you enjoy this tag, that it inspires you and reminds you that much like the world around us, we go through beautiful changes too.
5. Answer the questions.
6. Tag at least one person.
7. Have fun and enjoy the rest of your month! ❤
Here are the questions:
1. Of all the fall/autumn color shades (reds, yellows, oranges, etc.), which shade is your favorite? Probably red, but really, they are all pretty. 🙂 I don’t know if this is allowed, but I really like this weird red outlined yellow:
This is from my post, Autumn Leaves. #shamelessselfpromotion Moving along. XD
2. What fall/autumn scent is your favorite? Oohhh hard choice hmm. Maybe pumpkin?
3. What is your favorite fall/autumn drink? Can I say hot chocolate? XD I start drinking it in the fall. I had some yesterday, actually. (Thanks mom for making homemade and adding marshmallows! <3)
4. What big life changes have you recently experienced? I was given four new pets last month!
The two in the back are Tiny and Aurora, the two in the front are Amber and Morrisette. If you want to see the video this still shot came from, click here to go to my Instagram! #moreshamelessselfpromotion These guys are such sweethearts. I plan to give them a post o their own soon where I can introduce them better. 🙂
5. How do you cope with life changes? It depends on what the change is. I LOVE the four little beautiful birds – that was a good change and I’m handling it well and spoiling them rotten. ❤ With some changes, I don’t do well, haha.
6. Who is the person you trust most? Jesus. 🙂
7. What would be a question you’d be afraid to tell the truth on? If I answer this, then people might get curious and start asking it… 😉

My November 2018 In Photos
…yes, November. That is how far behind I am with this. O.o I’m going to catch up this month, hopefully! I’ve been so busy lately.
Weird mushroom I found at my grandmas.
Another angle.
Close up – it somehow grew around the leaf.
And it was oozing. O.o
Flowers! When in town, I spotted these outside a business. I don’t know what kind these are but they are lovely. ❤
Closer up. 😀
Autumn leaves. ❤
It was so cold, the mudhole froze over. There is a leaf in the center. XD Aaaand…
We got snow!
It was just a dusting but it was enough for pretty scenery.
I probably took too many photos of the snow. XD
The top of the gazebo and our house covered in snow – and the autumn leaves in the same shot. ❤
Dew and snow on the same leaf.
Snow on the banister.
Thanksgiving moon – weird that it had a ring around it.
Up close, it was hazy.
Squirrel! This one wagged its tail at me. I think he was upset.
Some trees I thought were cool looking.
Another squirrel! This one gave me the privilege of allowing me to watch him eat a nut.
And here he is eating it. 🙂
This concludes another episode of a month in photos! Hope to be back soon for December’s. 🙂
My October in Photos – iPod Edition.
*Tuesday was busier than I expected and I didn’t get to post, so that post has been moved to next Tuesday. (Because it is the start of a series for Tuesday.) However, here is the one scheduled for Wednesday!
Surprise #1 for this post, my uncle gave me an iPod for my birthday! Here are the photos I took with it during October – and a few from November because I can and it relates to surprise #2. 🤣 And I’m sure you will be flooded with more of surprise #2 in November in photos so I think it’s okay to share some of them now. Because I can’t really contain my excitement…
Cucumbers! They are now pickled.
Autumn leaf!
The same wildflower as Monday’s post – I wanted to see the comparison in how well the iPod captured the flower in comparison to my camera. This thing doesn’t do too bad with macros…
Really freaky looking cucumber.
Mushrooms!
…okay, I can’t take it any longer. The next surprise… I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THIS SURPRISE OR I WILL BURST.
Meet Thaddeus “Jumping Jack” Braveheart – he is surprise #2! 😁 A feral cat showed up under my dad’s shop porch and the kittens were so hungry. I felt bad and tried to feed them, but they were too scared. Except for this one.
The next day, the mother had moved them, and I haven’t seen the mother or the other kittens since. But this little fellow was hiding in some leftover drainage pipe that we’re storing at our storage barn. Abandoned! I thought about leaving him to see if the mom would come back, but I heard the coyotes and I was afraid the neighbor’s dogs might get out again…
Plus, he did this when outside. He wrapped around my leg, not wanting me to leave him. And he followed me everywhere. My heart melted…
The plan was to get him weaned and litter box trained so we could give him away, but…
I think I can speak for all everyone when I say that we fell in love with him. Besides being cute (LOOK AT THAT BLACK MUSTACHE ON HIS NOSE AAAHHHH), he is a handful, curious, gets into everything, and is very entertaining with his playful antics.
Unfortunately, he thinks that my hands and feet are also toys to be played with. We’re breaking him of this habit. We hope. 😅
He discovered chairs last week. This is him in the chair.
He is so lovely. Most of the time. 😆 Sometimes he has more energy than he knows what to do with. I’ve seen him try to climb the walls. And try to eat his own tail.
Here he is in my sandals. 😍
Sorry for the blur, but he was very active. 🤣 He has my turtle, Speedy. And my iPod cord…
A quick break from the kitten because I’m trying to post these in chronological order. 😂 My mom and I grabbed a burger at McDonald’s, and she spotted this. The sign says, “DO NOT BLOCK FIRE EXIT.” Someone decided not to heed that warning, it seems…
Praying girl on Sunbeam bread! I heard from a friend that this was a thing this time of year. Never noticed it before. But there she is – praying. It also had the caption, “Not by bread alone” I love Sunbeam even more now… 💜
Now, returning to Jack…
Jack trying to eat my stuffed dog. It’s a cat-eat-dog world out there, folks… 😂
I don’t usually post photos of me, but here we are. We’re on my bed. I was playing with the filters and Jack came along and fell asleep there beside me. 🤣
Jack trying to attack the people in the TV screen. 🤣
In my lap again. Refreshing Spirit called him, “An early birthday present from Jesus.” Refreshing Spirit and T. R. helped name him. Thaddeus came from Refreshing Spirit and Braveheart came from T. R. 🙂 His nickname is Jumping Jack because he has this weird thing where he jumps out of stuff like a Jack in the Box. And he jumps in general. It’s very amusing. 😆
Sprawled out on my electric throw. He really likes my throw. And my mom’s electric throw. And my dad’s electric throw…
HE IS SO CUTE. He almost blends in on my zebra print though.
And here is why I am 4K words behind in writing my NaNoWriMo novel… 🤣
My October in Photos will be concluded next Tuesday! See you guys later! 😊
My October 2018 in Photos
(Somehow the post posted back in time to the 14th, so I updated it to today. Sorry if any of you got this post twice!)
So… here is another installment of a month in photos so you can find out what I’ve been up to! Because obviously blogging hasn’t been something I’ve done much of lately… 😅 (As for November, what I’ve been up to can be summed up in just one sentence: National Novel Writing Month and I’m behind… 🤪)
This isn’t all of it – the post was so long, I decided to split it into multiple posts. If you are wondering about these other surprise things, some will be talked about tomorrow and two surprises will be talked about on Wednesday, to save you guys from a post that goes to the moon and back. I’m going to make up for not posting much for two months by burying you guys this week. 😆
When trying to hook up the garden hose, I came across this web. I don’t know how well you can see it, but there are actually two large spiders in the photo. One is in the web and the other is above it.
Here is a close up of the one inside the web. Needless to say, I decided to wait until later to use the hose. 😆 They were gone, web and all, the next day.
Wildflowers!
More wildflowers!
Mushroom! The outside was very hard like plastic. Didn’t expect that.
Two feral cats. There is a feral cat population down the road, and when the neighbor’s dogs got out, these poor kitties must have run down here for safety. I’ve seen them hanging around every once in a while since then.
I think these are azaleas. Which is weird because I thought they were a spring blooming plant…
Other mushrooms I saw over the month! Thought they might look good as a collage to cut down on the already super long length of this post…
We got lost a while back when taking my grandma to the doctor and stumbled upon a Western Sizzlin.
I approve of most of the decor. Some of it I could do without, but I’m going to show the fun stuff first. 🙂 This scarecrow and the one at the top of the page were both from the same place. I put it up there so that the first image people see won’t be the spider… 😆
The bullhorns were cool. It gave the place a very… western feel. Which is to be expected out of a Western Sizzlin… 🤣
My favorite of the bullhorns – sweetheart of the west! 😍
And of course, boots, lassos, and the like.
An old record! I don’t know how well you can read it, but it says, “Gone But Not Forgotten – Patsy Cline / Johnny Horton / Cowboy Copas.” I’ve never heard of the last one.
There were so many things to look at.
And they had so much food. This is actually misleading because on the left is a mirror and it reflects the number of food bars there, making it look like more than there is. This introvert kept avoiding whoever was following me, trying not to get in their way, and once I thought I was going to bump into them, I almost apologized – until I realized it was my own reflection. 😂
They had little autumn decorations everywhere. It was lovely.
I was nuts about this one! 🤣
And the western theme was cool.
Me in the mirror. 😅
The chandelier was made out of antlers. Very crafty and unique, though I doubt they got the antlers from the deer after they dropped the antlers naturally… 😝
A waterfall! Hard to see the water in this image though.
Even more decor.
And even fun decor in the bathroom! I didn’t realize the bathroom stall door was open when I took this – sorry for the reflection of the toilet. 😅 But I like the mirror. Very crafty!
Now for the decor stuff, I didn’t care much for… and I mean that literally. Stuffed.
Yup, there we go. I don’t know what a few of those are. I know the deer. Looks like maybe a fox and a bobcat? 🤨
Let’s end this on a better note. Flowers I saw at during the month that aren’t wildflowers! 😍
Hope to see you tomorrow for the next installment. Hope you all are having a good November thus far. 🙂
My September 2018 In Photos
Welcome to another edition of My Month In Photos life update! 😀 Here is my September in photos…
A day at my grandmas – it was a beautiful day. 🙂
I saw a grasshopper that day and it was fun to try to get a photo. Not many came out because the wind blew the grass around, which caused him to blur.
I like strange and unique trees and limbs and found this one when walking to her lake.
I found this snake in the woods near our house. 😄
Blake! (Black rat snake.) He seems to hang around our yard a lot. And he is very patient with me. 😆
These are some of the best photos I got of him this time.
He posed for me. 😁
In this last one, I was trying to show how long he is because the others are headshots. He’s long!
Praying mantis! He was on top of my mom’s car when we were trying to leave one day, so I moved him to a stick and got photos while her car warmed up.
I visited Narnia. It’s a lot more… modern than I thought it would be. 🤪
Mushroom!! 😁
Made enchiladas (recipe by T.R. – click here to view) and they were so easy and good! I added extra sauce and cheese because I like extra sauce and cheese. 😋
Purple wildflowers! Not quite ready to open yet. They close at night and it was nearing dusk when I took this.
Wild berries! 😄 Probably poison…
Hot peppers!! 😁
My newest lemon tree had a friend for a day. Then it died. Whatever kind of mushroom this is, they are there one day and dead the next. Crazy.
Finally got a photo of the purple wildflowers above with the petals open. 😀
Puffy clouds! 😁 I like how the sun was shining on them.
A different kind of grasshopper. Or something. The one above is green and this is brown. So it may not be a grasshopper at all. But it hops… 🤣
Autumn is coming…
I met a snail! And it was friendly. 🙂
Ripe tomatoes! 😍
My newest sweet potato plants – and the frog guarding them. 🤣
Went outside in the middle of the night and took this. 😀 I didn’t expect it to be this clear.
Went out again in the morning and took this. Not as clear as it was at night but it still came out.
Pine cones! 😁 When they start falling, I’m going to gather some and paint them. Then it will start to feel like Christmas is coming…
Turning Over A New Leaf…
…and some old leaves too. So, in all seriousness: leaves and trees are fun to take photos of and I do so often, which makes Cee’s Fun Photography Challenge subject of leaves and trees perfect for me. 🙂

Leaf arrangement

Leaves on moss

This leaf blew against a tree and got stuck on the bark.

Looking up into a tree at night

Sunrise and trees – the background washed out, but I love how the colorful leaves look in the foreground.

A single leaf on the gravel driveway

Two trees at sunset at my grandmas.

A little plant trying to grow from under a layer of leaves and sleet.

A leaf fell and stuck in the snow.

Trees with a cloudy sky.

Trees at sunset
And lastly, a sneak-peak at next week’s photo post – sunrises and sunsets. This one fits in either post because there are also trees, so I decided to share it here as a teaser. 🙂
