Solitude
On my secluded isle.
Away from the hustle,
Away from the bustle,
Of human’s wiles,
Peace exudes.

Loneliness,
In my isolated shelter.
Alone with my thoughts,
Companionship is sought,
But Iโ€™m protected here.
Friends I missโ€ฆ

Stranded,
On my clandestine island.
First, I wanted some space,
Now need to leave this place,
But nobody understands
What landedโ€ฆ

Depression,
Attacks my private refuge,
Convincing me to go under,
To leave my heart asunder.
Blinded to possible rescue –
Is there no win?

In the east,
Son shines on the haven.
I’ll never again be marooned, for
Shadows once blocked the harbor;
But the Light foils dark plans –
Freeing me from the beast.

Enjoying Solitude

In response to the prompt, Solitude – you may have heard me mention that I enjoy walking in nature; that is probably my favorite way to enjoy the time by myself.

Here is an example of a someone I found who was enjoying his solitude until I came along during my solitude and stuck my camera lens in his face. It started when I found these mushrooms growing out of a tree stump and thought they were really neat:

And then I saw this:

I almost missed him! See him in the right center? A little frog was hiding in there.ย ๐Ÿ˜ I zoomed in then and bye-bye solitude.

In this one, I peeled the bark back a bit to get a better shot and really infringed on his privacy… ๐Ÿ˜‚

Consider this a warning to all wildlife: If you are enjoying solitude and I find you, I will invade your personal space. I will shoot you with my camera. And then I will share your mug shot with the world via my blog.

You have been warned… ๐Ÿ˜‰
