I found these photos in my archives from spring and surprisingly, I don’t think I ever posted them.
I wanted to get photos of my mom’s lilies while in full bloom.
It was in this photo that I realized that someone was photo-bombing me, though after downloading them, I realize it could be seen in the previous photos too:
So I zoomed in:
Hello there, little bug! 😀
I don’t know what kind of bug this is, but he was patient and let me get very close:
He didn’t seem to be hurting my mom’s flowers, so I let him be. 🙂
I laughed when I saw that this snail seemed to be trying to pollinate a cucumber bloom, and knew I needed to get a shot of it! My dad said he won’t be eating that cucumber… 😂 😂 😂 What an unusual snail! 🙂
Over at Dutch Goes The Photo!, the photo prompt is “bug”. I couldn’t have asked for a better prompt. XD If it’s okay, I’m going to do multiple entries, because I have a a lot of bugs.
This whole post is dedicated to moths. 😀 I love moths. Sometimes I leave lights on at night just to attract them. This is a collection of some I captured last year and this year. The one with the cross design was identified by Jamie (thank you again!) as a clymene moth. 🙂 The others I have no idea what they are, but I really like them. 😊
My favorite is probably the clymene moth, with the white and black speckled one (reminds me of a dalmatian!) being second favorite, and the yellow and pink one in third. 🙂 However, I really love those big Luna moths (the green and yellow ones).
It amazes me that God didn’t stop at a few varieties of moth; He painted the wings of many different kinds and colors. So many!!! I love the variety! 😍 In many, I see that they are supposed to blend into tree trunks, but some have such color to them that I’d expect from a butterfly. I look forward to discovering more this year. You should be able to click for a closer view. 🙂
If you liked these, also check out Emerging From The Cocoon, where I was present when a large moth came out of its cocoon and dried out. 😉
When walking out to the garden, my mom almost stepped on this fellow:
Her reaction at first was, “SNAAAAAAAAKE,” but that was quickly followed by, “Oh never mind, it has legs.” 😂 She was quite relieved.
He was kind enough to let me get 20+ photos of him. Poor thing seemed to have lost its tail though. He seemed fine besides that. He was much faster than I expected. When he finally left, it was so fast that if I had blinked I would have missed it.
I’m glad that God brought him across my mom’s path so these photos could be taken! 🙂
I found this little guy while taking photos of Jazzberry Jam colored flowers last year. He kept trying to jump on the camera lens, and did a funny dance, as you can tell from the second photo below. He was fun to watch! I’m glad that God allowed us to cross paths that day.
I saw the biggest spider the other day…
…Happy April Fools Day! 🎊 Yeah, the spider wasn’t really that big. It was about as big as a quarter. XD While doing a bit of tidying up, I discovered one of my old toy trucks. Elizabeth over at The Comfortable Coop wrote this post about the true nature of spiders and my mom connected the dots, “Why not put the truck in one of your photos to make the spider look huge?” So I did. 😂
Have a great weekend! ♥
