My November 2018 In Photos

…yes, November. That is how far behind I am with this. O.o I’m going to catch up this month, hopefully! I’ve been so busy lately.

Weird mushroom I found at my grandmas.

Another angle.

Close up – it somehow grew around the leaf.

And it was oozing. O.o

Flowers! When in town, I spotted these outside a business. I don’t know what kind these are but they are lovely. ❤

Closer up. 😀

Autumn leaves. ❤

It was so cold, the mudhole froze over. There is a leaf in the center. XD Aaaand…

We got snow!

It was just a dusting but it was enough for pretty scenery.

I probably took too many photos of the snow. XD

The top of the gazebo and our house covered in snow – and the autumn leaves in the same shot. ❤

Dew and snow on the same leaf.

Snow on the banister.

Thanksgiving moon – weird that it had a ring around it.

Up close, it was hazy.

Squirrel! This one wagged its tail at me. I think he was upset.

Some trees I thought were cool looking.

Another squirrel! This one gave me the privilege of allowing me to watch him eat a nut.

And here he is eating it. 🙂

This concludes another episode of a month in photos! Hope to be back soon for December’s. 🙂

Marching In

I stare in wonder
As January melts away
The New year is no longer new
Where oh where did all that time go?

I gaze dumbfounded
As February sends greetings
Seems like January had just arrived

The winter snows give way to
Red hearts and love stories to warm the soul

And then February says goodbye, and the green clovers march in.

Hey everyone! I hope that you’ve had a great March so far! 😀

I’m going to be taking a short blogging break this weekend – so I’ll see y’all again on Monday! ❤ Have a great weekend!

Share Your World – January 22nd, 2018

I’ve never done this before, but I’d like to give it a try. 🙂 Also, fourth post in a day? I’m not sure if I should apologize or not… 😅 Anyway, here is my first time participating in Cee’s Share Your World. 😀

  • List 2 things you have to be happy about?
    • God woke up this morning, so I have another day to live. 🙂 And my dad is feeling better – the congestion is gone. Yesterday, we talked for a couple of hours and it was nice that he felt up for talking again. 😀
  • Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewelry?
    • Yes, I have a rock collection. 🙂 But today, I’ll spotlight the pet rock I had when I was a kid. It was big and brown and shaped like a potato. It actually looked so much like a potato that I would occasionally put it in the potato bin just to see the reaction when some unfortunate soul (typically one of my parents) came along to try to peel it… I was terrible. 😂 Sadly, I don’t have photos of it and the potato rock disappeared one day so I can’t get any photos. I think someone got tired of trying to peel a rock to make French fries and threw it outside into the woods. Can’t really blame them for doing that either…
  • Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
    • Non-hugger, although when one of my best friends came to Arkansas from another time zone (we spoke online for 6 years prior to our meeting) I surprised both of us when I greeted her with a hug on the third day of hanging out. 🙂 So I suppose I’m a non-hugger unless I am close to the person. 🙂
  • What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
    • Snow! I made a snowcat. I haven’t done many creative things in a while, especially after getting a cold, so when the snow became workable, I was inspired to create something and I appreciated the snow to do it with. ⛄

Snow Cat!

Snow Cat!

As I mentioned in a previous post, Snow!, I have been patiently waiting for the snow to become workable instead of a pretty powder. It’s all melted now, but two days ago, it was the perfect – or should I say, PURRfect – consistency, so I went a little overboard and almost froze my fingers off making this. This is what happens when I have an hour of uninterrupted time and workable snow. I probably took too many photos of it, but I was so excited, haha. I built it on the hood on my mom’s car. 😂 The nose is a piece of leaf, the mouth is a piece of grass, and the eyes are sunflower see shells that I found under our birdfeeder. 🙂

WE HAVE SNOW. Haha. We rarely get snow, so this is exciting for me. If only it will get warm enough to not be powder. I want to make a snowman! Or snow-something. I made a snow-chicken one year. I even made it a nest. So anything is possible… 😆

This is a collection of photos I took yesterday and early this morning.

This is the frost frozen on the window. It’s so pretty, haha.

Snow! And Jay wanting breakfast, haha. He was relentless. He wouldn’t let me take photos of the driveway yesterday until he had breakfast. XD

Our driveway.

It’s easy to tell where all Jay has been. XD

Tire tracks.

Here is the temperature at 8:00 AM. Brrrrrrrr. **shivers** I’m not used to this! Cold yes, but not this cold. It rarely gets below 20. This is insane. I can’t stay outside more than five minutes without my fingers and toes going numb. **sigh** How am I supposed to play in the snow?! Patience. This is teaching me patience. 😂

Hope you all are having a beautiful day!💜

I Am Thine

I Am Thine

I’m Thy beloved sheep;
My woolen coat is to be white.
Thy Word I am to keep,
And walk in the path of right.

But my atrocious sins
Made my wool scarlet
As shameful swine’s skin;
Disgraceful as I could get.

But with Thy blood
That was lovingly shed,
Thee, my caring God,
Paid for me instead.

You faithfully sought me
And I am no longer mine;
You lovingly bought me,
Lord, my God, I am Thine!

Psalm 51:7: Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

White As Snow Again – A Short Story

Dogwood bloom

Once upon a time, I gave up my rags of the world and in exchange, I was given a white robe. This robe was the most beautiful snow white. For a while, all was well.

But then I stained it.

Brown splotches where I allowed life to drag me through the mud, and stains that I dribbled on it from when I partook of things I shouldn’t have.

The robe was a wreck.

I felt so ashamed to approach the One who gave it to me. It was perfect when He gave it to me and now it was as dirty and torn as the rags I gave up before.

I thought it was beyond repair, beyond cleansing, beyond any help.

So I wallowed in despair, which was as dark as pitch, instead of going to He Who would assist me, and the robe turned into a coal-black color.

But then I remembered: it’s not about me and what I can do. He has something I don’t.

The ultimate Bleach.

It is Blood from the Lamb Who was slain.

I fell before Him and confessed all that was on my heart as I gave the robe back to Him and He washed it clean with His blood.

I was not worthy after all I had done, but it wasn’t about my worth; it was about His! He saw how pitiful I was and how sorry I was, and when I finally asked, He immediately forgave me, washed me clean, and welcomed me home like a prodigal child.

It became as white as snow again.

And now I go to Him as soon as I realize I have stained it, so that He may use His Bleach to get the stain out, and it was as if it were never there. I wrote down a prayer of thanks…

Cat footprints in snow

I prayed to be found in You,

I was so lost inside!
To You I would confide,

All that was in my mind true,

And all that was on my heart,
Before it tore me apart!

I spilled my innermost thoughts…

How could I even approach You
When I was clearly not worthy to?

I was ashamed and distraught;

My spirit was torn,
Heavily faded and worn,

Stained with pitch,

Covered in wretched sin;
But You took me in.

And with Your stitch,

The scars were sealed,
And I knew that I’d be healed.

I was left in amazement,

You bleached my gown
White as goose’s down!

I wondered where the stain went.

It was once again unblemished;
It was as if it were never tarnished!

I declared with audacity now,

“I trust in You, my Lord;
I trust Your Holy Word!”

I shall therefore vow,

No more hesitating,
No more waiting;

No longer will I waver –

Because of the Son Who was sent;
There’s no more embarrassment,

First, I’ll run to my Savior!

Pure Snow

One day, we will have these robes and they will never stain again. One day, we will not have our spirits crushed anymore. One day, we will be with the Perfect One, and we will not have to worry or feel ashamed anymore, because we will be with Him. And He will wipe our tears away…

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.”
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, saying, “Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.”
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, “What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?”
And I said unto him, “Sir, thou knowest.”
And he said to me, “These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:9-17)

“Come now, an let us reason together,” saith the Lord: “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
