No More

No more fearing my last breath
Jesus had won the war
Victory no longer belongs to death

Forevermore I can live in Him
Prodigal knocked on His door
And He graciously let me in

Even after this body passes me by
His loving sacrifice
Ensures that I will never die

Eternal life is now mine
He paid the price
And my life is Thine

No more fear of tomorrow
For I will live for Jesus today
And behind Him, I always follow

Into eternity, where there is…

No more sickness, no more pain
No more tears to be wiped away
Like windshield wipers in the rain

No more will sin leave stains
In the pure snow white
Fleshly desires will not remain

No more grief, no more sorrow
All sadness had taken flight
All Earthly things, a passing shadow

Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. Isaiah 60:20

Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow. Psalm 144:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4

Special thanks to Pete from God’s Maintenance Man for inspiring this poem (click the link to visit the post). In a post, he said:

Imagine if things were on earth as they are in heaven! No more sickness, no more pain, no tears, no death, and no sorrow.

So I dared to imagine. 🙂 (Also, be sure to visit his other blog, The Psalmist, where he posts his psalms and poetry. 😉)

The 3 Day 3 Quotes Challenge Day Nine

The grand finale! 🙂 I’m going to go in depth as to why I like this quote – er – poem. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. ❤

Make us of one heart and mind – For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (Romans 12:4-5 NASB)

Courteous and kind – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:23 – 24 NASB)

Lowly, meek in thought and wordTake My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matthew 11:29 KJV)

Never by fretful passion stirred – And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:24 NKJV)

Free from anger, free from pride, – He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. (Proverbs 14:29 KJV) When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom. (Proverbs 11:2 NKJV)

Let us in God abideAbide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” (John 15:4 NKJV)

All the depths of love express“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35 NKJV)

All the height of holinessAs obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” (First Peter 1:14-16 NASB)

3 Day 3 Quotes Challenge Day Eight

I love the encouragement in this verse not to worry. (And the verses before and after it too.) 🙂

As for this photo, I’m fairly certain that this is a baby cardinal. I was so fortunate to find him. I remember the parents were trying to scare me away as I took photos, and back then, I had the old camera so I had to get very close to take the photo. I’m surprised that he let me. I prayed that he would stick around for a few good shots and he did! I had to leave after a few minutes though because my cats were getting curious about what I was photographing and I didn’t want him to become lunch. Therefore, I left and gave my cats their dinner early so he could fly away in peace. 🙂

3 Day 3 Quote Challenge Day Seven

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:12-14, NKJV)

Fun fact – that’s my bike. My trusty banana seat bike. ❤ I’ve had her ever since I was a tween and I still ride her sometimes. Her name is SeaStar. (The decals say “SeaStar” so I always have called her that.) This is my “before” photo – I plan to give her some fresh paint sometime because the old is starting to peel off and she’s starting to rust. 😨 And I want to add a basket and a bell and new tassels on the handlebars – I think I pretty much want to try my hand at restoring her.

3 Day 3 Quote Challenge, Day Five

I have no Bible verses for this, nor do I know who said it. I remember hearing it as a kid (maybe it was in a fortune cookie? I don’t remember) and it was my motto for years. 🙂 My dream has always been to write novels and publish them for others to read. I hope one day it will come true and become a wonderful memory, but until then, I dream and keep writing; one day, I’ll finish a novel and it’ll be exciting to see what will happen then. ❤

The 3 Day 3 Quotes Challenge – Day Two

It’s day two of The 3 Day 3 Quotes Challenge, so let’s get to it: 😀

And He cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, “What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:36)

In our weakness, we find His strength – if we just humble ourselves and ask. ❤
