The Question

An aroma wafting in the air,
Dangling loosely like fine linens;
Does it smell sweet or putrid?

A whisper in the wind,
Murmuring in the quiet breeze,
What will you say with it?

An intense taste on the tongue,
Words are like vinegar and honey;
Do you speak in love or hate?

A soft stir upon the spirit,
Lingering but just a moment;
Whose heart will you touch?

A wink of light in this dark world;
Fleeting piece of ignited flash-paper,
What will you illuminate with it?

Life is a shooting star that
Shines in a short blaze of glory;
What will you do with it?

Love One Another

one-heart-and-mind-jpg

When I turn on the TV or radio, I see so much violence in the world. It is overwhelming and devastating, how much hate there is. People gossiping about people, backstabbing people, using their tongues as weapons. (Paul specifically spoke about this in Ephesians 4:29) In addition, there are so many people hurting one another – physically and mentally – and killing one another. It makes me so sad and sick to see it.

How many times have we been told to love one another? I know it was a lot. Here are a few:

John 15:12: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

First John  3:23: And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

First John 4:7: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

First John 4:11: Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

The hate needs to stop!!!

Let us keep in mind these verses and the poem; love one another! ♥
