3 Day 3 Quote Challenge Day Seven

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:12-14, NKJV)

Fun fact – that’s my bike. My trusty banana seat bike. ❤ I’ve had her ever since I was a tween and I still ride her sometimes. Her name is SeaStar. (The decals say “SeaStar” so I always have called her that.) This is my “before” photo – I plan to give her some fresh paint sometime because the old is starting to peel off and she’s starting to rust. 😨 And I want to add a basket and a bell and new tassels on the handlebars – I think I pretty much want to try my hand at restoring her.

The 3 Day 3 Quotes Challenge – Day One

RobinCarly, and Jo have all nominated me for the 3 Day 3 Quotes challenge, so I’m going to add them together and make this a 9 Day 9 Quotes challenge! 😀 Thanks guys, this is going to be so much fun! (Though I don’t know if I’ll nominate three bloggers each day; I think I’ll nominate one per day since I’m doing 9 quotes.) I posted one yesterday as well for the Sunshine Blogger Award, so I guess this will be 10 days of quotes. (And then Penelope Grace shocks all of her readers by going from posting once a week to posting ten days in a row. 😮 😅)

The rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Post a quote for three consecutive days, one quote each day.
  • Share why this quote appeals to you so much.
  • Nominate three different bloggers for each day.

Fun story… back in 2016, I shared several of my favorite quotes and Bible verses on images I took or made, so I’ll be reposting a few of those. But I also plan to make a few new images with quotes if I have time. 🙂

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)

So this one… I like it because it is a reminder that if we keep persisting, we can reach the goal if it is in God’s will. God could have taken the snail and brought him to the ark, but then the snail would have missed out on the journey that God may have had in store. He doesn’t always give us an easy way to get to wherever He asks us to go. We must keep pressing toward the goal. ❤

A Reminder

It’s week 73 of Three Line Tales, and here is the photo and my response. 🙂 If you want to participate, just click the link! 😉

A field once filled daily with kids kicking a ball into a goal, now as empty as a body without a soul

No ball, no children, just two poles and a net stand, as a reminder of the fun that once occurred on this land

Will they return here or will this place sink into the depths of history’s embrace?
