The Versatile Blogger Award and The Unique Blogger Award

Thank you to Lynn from Lynn Abbot Studios for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award – this is the fourth time I’ve been nominated! 🙂 I’m so honored! If you haven’t been to her blog, just click the link. 🙂

The rules for this award are:

  1. Thank the person who gave you this award, and include a link to their blog.
  2. Nominate blogs that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
  3. Share 7 things about yourself that people might not know.

Okay, here we go:

  • Uno: I dislike most breakfast meats and usually chose to eat a non-breakfast item or cereal or oatmeal. I also don’t like sausage or pepperoni on a pizza.
  • Dos: I like computer games. A lot. Too much…
  • Tres: I still enjoy children’s books. (I’ve been slowly reading through the Hank Zipzer series.)
  • Quatro: This may or may not count, technically, but I met my first vulture baby last week.
  • Cinco: I like hot and spicy food. I’m having spaghetti with a jalapeno pepper as I type this.
  • Seis: In April, I will have been a blogger for two years! My how time flies!
  • Siete: You may have noticed that I counted in Spanish! That’s because I’m learning it with Memrise and Duolingo. I recently learned how to count to twenty (veinte). 😀 And I’m also learning ASL on Memrise because I’ve always liked it and why not?

Nominations (no pressure to participate and sorry if you don’t accept awards):

Carly at Message In Stanza

Eunice at Timbushi World Blog

Tim at Beard With A Blog

Pete at God’s Maintenance Man (or The Psalmist)

Cavelle at A Christian In Bloom

Hayley at Red Letters

Everyone reading this! 😉

Thank you to Carly at Message In Stanza for nominating me for this award! 🙂 And if you haven’t visited her blog before, I linked to her blog in the name. 😉

Rules:

Answer all the questions asked by the blogger who nominated you
Share the link of the blogger who nominated you
Nominate 8 to 13 bloggers for the same award
Ask 3 questions

My 3 Questions to answer:

  1. What is your main form of reflection: prayer, meditation, or an artistic pursuit and why? Or do you see all these as intertwined?
    • Great question! I had to really think about this one. I’d say that all three are kind of intertwined for me. Stained Glass actually came out of my journal that I sometimes write prayers in, so I guess it is kind of a mix of the three (if you count writing poetry as an artistic pursuit). I haven’t really tried a lot of meditation; prayer, yes.
  2. (I am going to steal DYI’s question): Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
    • Oh wow, in 5 years I’ll be in my 30’s. Suddenly I feel… old. Not like, really old, just… it’s hard for me to grasp. XD I hope that by then I have a driver’s license. And have a book published, whether by self-publishing or trying to get it published some other way.
  3. If you paint or had a desire to paint what kind of things would you paint and where would you paint if you could paint anywhere?
    • If I could paint, I’d paint scenes from my novels and be my own illustrator. One of the most recent things I’ve tried was with color pencils. I’d love to try painting someday.

Nominations (no pressure to participate and sorry if you don’t accept awards):

Dream Filled Daughter at Dreamer’s Outlet

Robyn at Believe

Maggie at Dreaming of Guatemala

Keri L.

T. R. Noble (Inside Cup or Peeking Beneath – I don’t know which you’d rather post an award post on. 😄)

Eunice at Timbushi World Blog

Incomplete Thinker at Incomplete Thinking

Cavelle at A Christian In Bloom

Faye at Create In Me A Clean Heart

Everyone reading this! 😉

Your questions:

  1. (Stealing Carly’s question. 😆 It was such a great question, I hope you don’t mind.) What is your main form of reflection: prayer, meditation, or an artistic pursuit and why? Or do you see all these as intertwined?
  2. What is your favorite post that you’ve posted so far and why? (And if you wish, include a link so that we can check it out!)
  3. Are you learning a second language or do you already know a second language? If so, what is it?

Liebster Award – again! ❤

Celebrate His Love nominated me for the Liebster Award – thank you, Dori! 🙂 And I learned that “Liebster” means “favorite one” or “adorable one” in German – I have wondered what that meant, but didn’t think to research it, so thanks for the fun fact! 🙂

I’ve seen variations of the rules of this award, but here are the ones that Celebrate His Love had:

  • Thank the nominator
  • Answer the Questions below
  • Nominate others

The Questions:

  1. If you could be any animal on earth, what would it be and why?
    • Probably a cat. They get pampered, they pretty much are king of the jungle – or house, if a house cat. Also, when they fall, they land on their feet most of the time. They seem to have a pretty great life!
  2. If you had to write the soundtrack of your life, what would be the first three songs?
  3. If your death was imminent, what would you choose as your last meal?
    • Some sort of seafood. I’m not choosy about which kind it is, though I do like shrimp…
  4. What movie that has not yet been made would you pay good money to see?
    • I don’t really keep up with movies, but… perhaps a biography based on Evidence Not Seen by Darlene Diebler Rose? I’m really enjoying the book.
  5. What was your favorite age to be and why?
    • Probably ten? It was a nice carefree age.
  6. What is the one book that has most inspired your writing and/or life?
    • The Bible. 🙂
  7. If you could live anywhere you please, without that pesky restraint called money, where would it be and why?
    • I have no idea. I love the idea of Alaska, but it gets so cold there. Also, my own private tropical island sounds nice, but… I like seasons. So perhaps I’d get an RV so I could travel and live wherever I want on this continent, whether in Alaska or the coast and get to travel to see a lot of God’s creations in person. 🙂

If you accept the nomination, answer the same questions above. 😉

Even More Awards! ❤

This is truly so humbling, y’all. Thanks so much for the nominations! 🙂  ♥ If it’s okay, I’ll skip the “tell three things about yourself” rule for the Mystery Blogger Awards since I am answering a lot of questions here. #rebel Hang onto your hat if you are wearing one; this is going to be a wild ride!

Thank you to Message in Stanza for nominating me for the Awesome Blogger Award for the second time! Maggie over at Dreaming of Guatemala created this awesome award. This is a direct quote from her blog about it:  “This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger.”

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Include the reason behind the award.
  • Include the banner in your post.
  • Tag it under #awesomebloggeraward in the Reader.
  • Answer the questions your nominator gave you.
  • Nominate at least 5 awesome bloggers.
  • Give your nominees 10 new questions to answer.
  • Let your nominees know that they’ve been nominated!

Message in Stanza’s Questions:

  1. If you were in a band, what kind of music would you play, what instrument would you play and what would you band name be?
    • Are there pianos in bands? If so, I’d say that, because that’s the only instrument I can half-play. 😄 I really like rock music, so I guess some sort of Christian rock music. (I love rock ballads!) Band name… The Rock Band? Like, how Christ is our Rock? 😉
  2. What triumphs and obstacles have you faced that has inspired your creativity?
    • God is helping me overcome depression. I still have battles with it on occasion, but He has already won the war! I am so grateful, I can’t help but write Him praises. I wrote one poem that I have yet to publish that really highlights this, I think. The running title is “Cross In My Heart,” so keep your eyes open for that!
  3. What makes you the happiest, family, friends, religion, or being inspired with your creativity?
    • All of those do, but it is only by God’s grace that I can enjoy them. In Him, there is joy!
  4. If you have no fear of death, what would you do?
    • Get up close and personal with some of God’s creation that I would normally stay away from in order to not be lunch. 😄 I would pet a tiger, ride an elephant, hang glide with the eagles, swim with sharks – the hang gliding and swimming thing would normally scare me to death, so if I don’t fear death, that is no longer a problem; I’ll just be scared senseless without dying. 😂
  5. Would you rather fish or skydive? And why did you pick that one?
    • Fish! Because I am back to being able to die from my fear of heights again. 😂
  6. What bores you to death?
    • Many sports. (Sorry sports fans.) I’d rather play than watch. 😄
  7. What is your biggest pet peeve?
    • …just one? 😄 When I can’t find something. It makes me nuts. I have a tiny book of nature poems that I misplaced last month and it drove me up the wall that I couldn’t find it. My mom eventually stumbled across it. In the bookcase. Talk about frustrating… 😅
  8. If you could choose your last words to your loved ones on you death bed, what would you say?
    • Okay, so… is it sad that this question requires the least amount of thinking of all of these questions thus far? Just a warning, this is going to get a bit dark. These are fragments of a poem that I wrote years ago:
    • Before I depart, there is one thing I’d like to teach.
As the pendulum goes forth and back,
      It will eventually stop, when the end is reached;
Like a candle soon runs out of wax,
Or the tide washes ashore a beach –
These, my friends, are the facts.

I wish for no one to lament because of me,
I believe that everything happens for a reason,
Even if we know not what that may yet be.
Time will pass, and change will the seasons,
My impending death will not stop these.

So as my spirit is slowly taken away,
To heaven where I may again find peace,
I want you to remember me as today,
Not as the body that will soon cease.

Thank you to Teresa for nominating me for the Mystery Blogger Award for the third time!

The Rules:

  1. Put the award logo/image on your blog.
  2. List the rules.
  3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog!
  4. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link to their blog as well. Thank you to Okoto Enigma.
  5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
  6. You have to nominate 10-20 people.
  7. Notify each of your nominees by commenting on their blog.
  8. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify).
  9. Share your link to your best post(s).

Teresa’s Questions:

  1. If you could change one thing about our country, what would it be and why?
    • That God isn’t taken out of schools. Give the children a chance to know Him, and maybe they will be less likely to go down the wrong path!
  2. Which super hero powers would you like to have, if given a chance? Why?
    • Skye // Daisy from Agents of SHIELD. (I’m not sure what that power is called, but I really like it, it’s quite unique.) I could use that to protect people and also have a little fun when no one needs saving…
  3. What motivates you to blog (write)?
    • My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 🙂 I also enjoy writing for some blogging prompts and challenges.
  4. What is something you like to collect, if anything?
    • Too much over the years! As a kid, it was bottle caps and pennies. Now, I still like old coins – my grandma gave me some of my great uncle’s collection that she inherited and I treasure those. I also collect crosses. I have one whole corner shelf dedicated to crosses. It’s a constant reminder of what He has accomplished. And I have too many books. I can’t forget postcards. I like getting postcards wherever I go, because they are inexpensive and usually have a pretty photo on them. I was lucky when I went to a flea market and found a bunch of old ones from all over the world! And sometimes, my friends send me one when they go someplace. Here is a small sampling from my collection (you should be able to click each one for a larger view):

  5. If given the chance to rename any fast food restaurant, which would it be? What new name would you rename to?
    • Wow, that is such a great, unique question! 😄 I’m tempted to say Taco Bell. Why a bell? The bell isn’t made of taco, and the bell isn’t shaped like a taco. It makes no sense. La Casa Grande De Tacos. (Large House of Tacos. I think. Thank you to my friend who is more fluent in Spanish than I am for helping me figure out how to say that in Spanish!) That makes more sense!

Thank you to Maggie for nominating me for the Mystery Blogger Award for the fourth time!

Maggie’s Questions:

  1. What is something you used to despise, but actually quite like now?
    • Westerns. The Rifleman, Gunsmoke and Bonanza are pretty good sometimes.
  2. When was the last time you laughed really hard?
    • When I was talking to a friend online and I made a typo and auto-correct failed me and made it even worse. XD
  3. What’s the best book that you read recently? Why did you enjoy it?
    • That’s hard! I haven’t finished Humility by Andrew Murray or Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ by John Piper yet, but I really like them so far. The last book I finished was Black by Ted Dekker and it was so great! I also love the author’s ability to create such an interesting world and plot!
  4. Name 5 of your favorite movies.
    • In no particular order: On The Town, Sound of Music, The Lion, The Witch and The WardrobeThe Hunger GamesIt’s A Wonderful Life.
  5. What are you the most thankful for?
    • Jesus! Without Him, I am nothing and I would have nothing.

Thank you to Hannah for nominating me for the Mystery Blogger Award for the fifth time!

Rules:

Hannah’s Questions:

  1. If you had one wish, what would it be?
    • That everyone would have a chance to hear the Gospel. 🙂
  2. If you could get a sequel/extra series to a film or a show that is no longer on air, what would you choose?
    • Revolution. NBC cut the show without ending it. Now I will never know what happened! I liked Charlie; she reminded me a little of Katniss from the Hunger Games.
  3. Who would you choose to be your alter ego and why?
    • Hard question! In a way, I guess I already have one. I am Grace, but Penelope Payne has been my online alter ego since 2009. I don’t know if that counts? If not, then… Skye // Daisy or “Quake” from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I would have too much fun with that…
  4. If you could meet any person in history, who would it be and what would you ask them?
    • Jesus. 🙂 “Why did you create mosquitoes?!” “Why did you create poison ivy?” 😂 Okay, seriously… “What did You write in the dirt?” (In reference to John chapter 8 verse 6.)
  5. What is your favourite band?
    • There are so many I adore, but lately, I love Rend Collective. A lot.

I’d like to thank Elizabeth from The Comfortable Coop for nominating me for the Real Neat Blog Award! This is my first time receiving this one. 😀

  1. Is there something that you do that makes you really happy when you’re feeling down?
    • Praying and talking to friends. 🙂 Writing and reading also helps.
  2. Is there someone (real or fictional) who inspires you? Who is it and why does this person inspire you?
    • Jesus! 🙂 He died for me, so that I may live for Him. Also, He has done so many wonderful things – how can I not be inspired by Him?
  3. Do you spend a lot of time listening to, reading, or watching the news?
    • No. Not at all. It’s too depressing.
  4. Are you a night owl or a morning person?
    • Night owl. I’ve tried being a morning person, but unless morning can start happening around noon, it’s probably not going to happen. XD LOL. I am my most creative at night. 🙂
  5. Do you have any pets? What kind and what are their names?
    • This is going to take a while! I have 17 cats: Angel, Belle, Blackie, Catalina, Dottie, Firecracker, Gabbie, Jay, Lolli, Mama Kitty, Monkey, Ode, Rabbit, Radar, Simone, Sketcher, and Sparrow. I also have two opossums that hangs around that I call Prim and Philip, and a raccoon that hangs around that I call Rocky. There is a rabbit that has been hanging around too, but I haven’t named him // her yet. Oh, and a toad has been sitting on the porch-step for the last six days during the afternoons, and I may name him Domino.
  6. Do you talk to yourself out loud?
    • Yes. 😂 You gotta talk to someone intelligent sometimes. (That’s what my grandma said about it. XD I’m not that boastful, I promise!) I also talk to animals as if they were humans…
  7.  Is Jesus your savior?
    • Yes! ❤

versatile1

First, I’d like to thank Hannah for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award for the second time! I completely forgot that you had nominated me and saw your comment when I recently updated my About Me page. I’m so sorry I’m just now getting to it.

I’d like to thank Keri L for nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award for the second time!

I’d like to thank Keri L for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog Award for the second time!

I’d like to thank FaithWalkingHebrews for nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award for the third time!

I’d like to thank LeneinJapan for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award for the third time!

I’d like to thank C for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award for the fourth time!

I’d like to thank Tina at Invisible Illness Blog for nominating me for the Mystery Blogger Award for the second time! (Your questions have been answered at the end of the tag.  😉 )

And I’d like to thank Allen R. Kive for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog Award for the third time!

I’m going to do this differently because I am a bit short on time and because this seems to be the perfect way to give facts about myself without repeating myself too much – because I am running out of facts to tell you all about myself. 😂

20 Things You Might Not Know About Me Tag

Eloise over on Highly Improbable Blog tagged anyone reading, so here we go. 🙂

How tall are you?

Probably as tall as I’m going to get. XD Maybe… 5’6? Taller if I decide to put on heels, which I love but my feet despise – and it has to be thick heels unless you like watching me go splat on the pavement. 😂

Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what is it?

I mentioned this on the first One Lovely Blog Award, however, this time, I’m posting an example of it – I can write backwards in print and in cursive!

backward-writing

What is your biggest blog-related pet peeve?

Probably when someone wields words to hurt people. That happened a lot last November it seemed, and it’s still happening. 😣 They say that the pen is mightier than the sword, but we shouldn’t be using our keyboard as a weapon to hurt people!

What is your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?

When someone uses Christ’s name in vain. (This also applies to the previous question. But I usually hear it more often than I read it.)

What’s your favorite song?

Only one? XD Uh… there are so many good songs. This one is one of my favorites ever though:

What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?

Uh. Is it bad that I don’t know what an Etsy shop is? **blushes**

What is your favorite way to spend your free time when you are alone?

Probably reading. I just finished reading Black by Ted Dekker (which was amazing) and I’m almost finished with Winds of Promise by Brodie and Brock Thoene. I have a huge stack of books to dive into after that. (I really should get a Goodreads account…)

What’s your favorite junk food?

Chocolate. Specifically, dark chocolate. And pretty much anything covered in it.

Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?

I do! And this may take a while. XD I have one dog named Rosie (shown below) who must think she is a cat, especially when it comes to food. She loves cat food and fish more than anything. o_O And last but not least… I have 17 cats who are as follows: Angel, Belle, Blackie, Catalina (shown below), Dottie, Firecracker, Gabby, Jay, Lolli, Mama Kitty, Monkey, Ode, Rabbit, Radar, Simone, Sketcher, and Sparrow. **whew**

catalina

rosie

What are your number one fiction and nonfiction books?

Oh man. Seriously? Haha. At the moment, Black by Ted Dekker is really trying to take over the Narnia series by C. S. Lewis for the Fiction slot, while Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ by John Piper is overtaking The Agony and Glory of the Cross by Charles B. Hodges Jr, and it is entirely possible that Humility by Andrew Murray may overtake them both after I finish it. 🙂

What’s your favorite cosmetic?

Hmm… probably mascara (which I sometimes double as an eyeliner. XD)

When were you last embarrassed? What happened?

Oh boy… a while ago my mom and I went out to eat and I was so shy and nervous that instead of asking the waitress for tea with no ice, I asked for ice with no tea.  Strangers do it to me every time without meaning to. XD I’m still getting teased for this, but I can laugh about it now. At the time I just wanted to disappear.

If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Tea! 😀

What’s your favorite movie?

Probably The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Classic. Although, I adore old musicals so Singin’ In The Rain and Yankee Doodle Dandy is right up there with it…

What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?

I was home schooled and the only one in my “class.” So I guess I was everything at once…? XD Though I think I would have been a blend of class clown, nerd, and loner most likely.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Maybe somewhere in the mountains like the Ozarks or the Rockies. I think I could get fantastic photos there. Though I really want to see the ocean someday, so anywhere near the ocean might be nice too.

PC or Mac?

PC. I’ve never tried a Mac; and the majority of my games and programs wouldn’t work on a Mac anyway.

Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?

AHAHAHAHAHA- sorry. The last time a boy kissed me, it was Ode, my cat, and he doesn’t count. 😜 I’m single. I’ve never had a boyfriend. Or been on a date.  The only affection I get are from pets, and it’s not romantic at all. XD

Favorite celebrity?

I don’t really keep up with Hollywood enough to know…

What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?

Can I cheat like Eloise did? XD I’m already best friends with Eloise (Highly Improbable Blog), Trey (Incorrigibly Cheerful) and Olivia (Refreshing Spirit), and have been since before we all created WordPress blogs. 🙂  However, many bloggers I’d like to be best friends with are already talking to me so it could happen yet. ;D

The questions that Tina asked:

  1. What made you want to start a blog? Several of my best friends had blogs, (Links to their blogs above 😉) and it seemed like a good idea. 🙂
  2. What is your favorite TV show? This is hard. XD Probably Scorpion. It’s exciting and it usually doesn’t get as gory or disgusting as many TV shows do. (Even if a lot of what they do is probably… not actually possible. 😂)
  3. What is your favorite food to cook? Mac & Cheese or Spaghetti. Because usually it turns out edible… XD
  4. What is your biggest fear? I would say being up high or being under water or being in tight spaces, because all of those do scare me but… not as much as losing someone I love. So I’m going with that.
  5. Where were you born? Arkansas, USA! Born and raised, and still live here. 🙂 Country girl at heart. ♥

Now, for the nominations, I know that some of your have received these awards before, so I’m going to do this a bit differently – instead of nominating someone for one award, the nominees can pick which one of the awards (or tag) they would like to do. No pressure to accept any though. 🙂 So here we go:

One Lovely Blog Award

Thank you so much, Shattered In Him, for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog Award! 🙂 I’m sorry it took me so long post it; I got stuck on thing #5 and it took a while to come up with two more things about me. XD

The Rules

  • Thank the person that nominated you and leave a link to their blog
  • Post about the award
  • Share 7 facts about yourself
  • Nominate at most 15 people
  • Tell your nominees the good news!

7 Facts About Me:

Coming up with facts was harder than I thought; I didn’t want to repeat myself. XD

  1. I can write backwards almost as easily as forwards. Not just in print, but in cursive. It’s strange. And it freaks out some people. And annoys other people, when I give them a message and they have to go find a mirror to read it… 😂
  2. I’m shy. I’ve posted 95 posts (now 96 posts – I’m so close to 100!) on my blog thus far, and I never thought I would make even close to that milestone. I was so scared to try this new thing called “blogging” at first. I posted twice in April of 2016 and then completely dropped off the face of the blogoshere in May. XD It’s easier to talk to people in text and I finally decided to go for it and began posting again in June. 🙂 I’m so glad I did!
  3. Until last month, I had not seen Frozen. I am probably one of the few people in America who hadn’t. I identify with Anna so much. Even though I’m shy, I have a tendency to ramble to people I know well and am a bit of a klutz too. Okay, maybe a total klutz. If only I had that red hair…😉
  4. I love snow, but we don’t get it much where I live.  ♫♪ Yes, I want to build a snowman. Come on let’s go and play. I never see snow anymore. It’s snow I’m waiting for. I wanna make a display… ♪♫ (Sing to the melody of “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” from the Frozen soundtrack. 😂) We finally got about a half an inch last week though! It wasn’t enough for a snowman, unless it could be five inches tall; and when I tried that, it was a powdery, doesn’t-stick-together-to-build-anything-or-even-throw-at-people snow. 😛 At least it was pretty to look at.
  5. I like learning new words. When I read books, I write down the words I don’t know and then look them up and make a list so that I can memorize them. Catawampus, ignominious, lackadaisical, loquacious, mellifluous, pusillanimous – I think cacophony is probably my new favorite right now. XD
  6. This is my sixth award! I feel so honored. 🙂
  7. I live in the Natural State. #southerngirlatheart

Blogger Recognition Award

blogger-reg-award1

Thank you so much, Shower of Blessings, for nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award!  😀

The Rules:

  1. Write a post to show your award.
  2. Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  3. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  4. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog.
  5. Select other blogs you want to give the award to.

A brief history of how my blog started:

This blog came into existence because a few of my friends have blogs, and I thought it might be a good idea. 🙂 I intended this blog to be half Christian posts and half book reviews and everything else, but lately, I’ve been posting pretty much all Christian topics so I suppose it has evolved into a mostly Christian blog. I do have a few boo reviews planned for the future though. They are Christian books. 🙂

Advice to new bloggers:

When I started blogging, I new practically nothing about it. I was so lost. Thankfully, my friends helped me out with the setup and figuring out how things work. I discovered this post by TheDaddyBlitz when someone reblogged it many months ago and it was a life saver. If you have a few minutes to spare, I recommend checking it out. 🙂 Until I read that post, I didn’t even now I had an admin panel! So my first piece of advice would be to read that post, if that counts. 🙂

Secondly, read a lot of blogs so that you can like a lot of blog posts and comment on blogs! That’s how I discovered a lot of blogs, when they like me or comment on my posts. 😀

“Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.                        Okoto Enigma

Thank you for the nominations, Betcha Didn’t Know and Showers Of Blessing for nominating me for this really award. Within a day of each other too! 😀 Hehe, this was such a great birthday surprise. 🙂

Rules for the nominees:

  • Display the award logo/image on your blog
  • List the rules.
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to the nominator’s blog.
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  • Answer 5 questions from the nominator
  • Nominate 10 – 20 people
  • Notify your nominees by leaving the nomination link in the “comment” of their blog
  • Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice, with one weird or funny question (specify)
  • Share the link(s) to your best post(s)

Three things:

  1. I am writing a Christian young adult novel during NaNoWriMo this month.
  2. I am fascinated by dreaming; especially the whole lucid dreaming and dream control concepts, both of which appear in the novel I’m writing.
  3. It is hard to come up with new things about myself that I haven’t repeated. XD

First, Betcha Didn’t Know’s questions:

  1. Do you have a role model?
    1. Jesus. 🙂
  2. What is your phobia?
    1. Probably failing the people I love, or failing God. That makes me very anxious and panicky.
  3. What dish do you cook the best
    1. Haha, this means something that I don’t usually burn or wreck. XD I’ll say macaroni and cheese. 🙂
  4. What is your favorite song
    1. I don’t know if I can narrow it down to just one. I am really obsessed with The Wonder Of It All by Point Of Grace right now. 🙂
  5. Do you believe in ghost? ( weird question)
    1. If you mean spooky creepy dead people who want revenge like in a horror movie, then no. But if you mean the spirit of a person who died, then I guess yes? But I don’t think that they “haunt” people. 🙂

And now, Showers of Blessing’s questions:

  1. Have you had a crush on your teacher as a teenager?
    1. I can say absolutely with 100% certainty, “No.” (I was home-schooled so my teacher was my dad. Ew. XD )
  2. If you had the power to change one thing in your past, what would that be?
    1. In one personal situation, I would stand up for myself. I’m not outspoken enough, and sometimes I let people run over me like a steamroller and then said people walk all over me like I’m part of the pavement. X)
  3. Which country is your next dream vacation, and what made you want to go there?
    1. Canada. It’s beautiful and it would be on the way to my dream vacation spot in the U.S., Alaska. 🙂
  4. Do you think it is okay to keep secrets even between best friends?
    1. Depends on what the secret is and who the best friend is. 🙂
  5. If you could be transformed into something else, what would be your preference, and why?(weird)
    1. I once dreamed (it was a lucid dream too) that I could shape-shift, so I chose  to turn into a tiger. I could run free through the wood, and chase my “prey”, which was fun. I guess I’m a true cat lady at heart. 🙂

I don’t know if they were the “best” posts of mine, but I really liked how My LifeguardStained Glass, The Lord Is My Strength And My Shield, and He Shall Strengthen Your Heart turned out. 🙂

I wish I had the time right now to type out nominees, but I only have about five more minutes to be online, so I will tag everyone reading this to answer the same questions I answered. 🙂  Have fun! ❤
