3 Day 3 Quotes Challenge Day Eight

I love the encouragement in this verse not to worry. (And the verses before and after it too.) ๐Ÿ™‚

As for this photo, I’m fairly certain that this is a baby cardinal. I was so fortunate to find him. I remember the parents were trying to scare me away as I took photos,ย and back then,ย I had the old camera so I had to get very close to take the photo. I’m surprised that he let me. I prayed that he would stick around for a few good shots and he did! I had to leave after a few minutes though because my cats were getting curious about what I was photographing and I didn’t want him to become lunch. Therefore, I left and gave my cats their dinner early so he could fly away in peace. ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful photo, BikurGirl! ๐Ÿ™‚ I really like those puffy clouds in the background – it makes an already great photo even better. โ™ฅ

Ah, a peaceful place to unwind.
I grab a piece of bread to feed the birds.
A voice stops me; I look up to find
The park ranger pointing to printed words.

โ€œSee, read that sign over there,
Feeding the birds is prohibited.
God feeds the fowls of the air;
Keep the pity inhibited.โ€

โ€œCan I at least feed the fish?
Donโ€™t take all the fun outta this trip.
May I at least have that wish?โ€
โ€œFine,โ€ he says, โ€œBut donโ€™t gimme lip.โ€

We talk about this and that,
And soon he asks for a date!
Before I leave this chitchat,
I declare that it must be fate!

** The line about God feeding the birds was inspired by Matthew 6:26: “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” One of my favorite verses. โ™ฅ
