An April Day At Mamaw’s

Welcome to part two of April in Photos! πŸ™‚

Mamaw’s daffodils! At least, I think they are. May not be. The blooms on these are so small. She let me dig up some of the bulbs so maybe I’ll have some next year. πŸ™‚

I found some wildflowers along the path while walking to the lake.

I’m not sure what these are, but they are really pretty and have different shades of purples and pinks.

These were everywhere around the lake.

These are SO TINY.

The pink veins in the petals of this one are really neat.

I’ve never seen a flower with oddball petals like this one. Three smalls and a long one. It’s not symmetrical at all.

I heard a plane, so I thought I’d test out my zoom. I didn’t expect it to be this clear!

Apparently, there is a resident beaver living on Mamaw’s lake now.

Last photo of the day. Night was starting to fall, and the colors behind this pine were amazing.Β  A great way to end this post. πŸ™‚

Close Up Of Flowers – CFFC

I wish I had been thinking about this, or I would have saved my lovely lilies for this challenge. I’ll reshare a few close-ups of flowers from earlier this year at the end of the post. πŸ™‚ This is in response to Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge. πŸ˜€

Found this lovely Rose of Sharon hibiscus bush at my great aunt’s house. It’s as tall as the house! I guess no one ever pruned it. I plan to get some cuttings to see if I can start my own bush. ❀

My black-eyed Susans in our garden.

Eggplant flower.

Miniature rose. I call them candy-cane roses because that’s what they remind me of. But the tag didn’t say if they had a name for the color, only that they are miniature rose bushes.

More miniature roses. ❀

Vine-type roses from my great aunt’s house, originally posted here for an installment of Treasure Tuesday.

Close up of my mom’s daffodils, originally from this post, My February in Photos.

Close-up of a Sweet William, originally from this post, Meeting Sweet William and Miss Spiderwort.

Water drops on a lily, originally from Lovely Lilies and Beautiful Butterflies.

Look forward to the next challenge tomorrow!

My March 2019 In Photos

Just a quick note, I’ve had a lot going on this past week. I’m behind in reading posts and responding to your lovely comments here. I’m slowly working on it. πŸ™‚ In the meantime, here are some photos! I took a lot of photos in March. Also, coming soon will be A Lovely March Morning, and A March Day At Grandma’s. πŸ™‚ ❀

My allergies started in March. I was sniffing and sneezing a lot. Jackie curled up on my bed and went to sleep. And then I sneezed. I looked around to see if I disturbed her, and… I think it’s safe to say I did. πŸ˜† She looked disgusted with me. She wanted to be in the room with me to snooze, but my allergies weren’t having it. Sorry girl.

The dandelions were back!

So pretty. πŸ™‚

Daffodil! With a little spider hiding underneath. πŸ™‚

A robin! I don’t see many of these around here. I used to see them at my grandma’s though.

My tulips came up! Sadly, they seemed to go dormant before the bloom opened? I don’t know what happened. It was strange. The flower shriveled up and then the leaves stuck around for a while before doing the same. I dug into the pot to make sure the bulbs were okay, and it seemed healthy. I wonder when I bought them, they were on sale and meant for being displayed. I’m wondering if last year they were forced to bloom, and needed this year to gain energy for next year. I’m new to tulips so I don’t know.

Lovely little flower. ❀

Wildflowers! I like the blue color of these.

Vibrant. πŸ™‚

And the veins in the petals of these. ❀

Oh dear! πŸ˜€ Haha. I surprised this one when outside. Oops!

I like silhouetting things against a sunrise or sunset.

This was experimental. I tried to get the nebula in the constellation Orion. This was the result. πŸ™‚

The moon and branches! The branches are easy to see though sadly, haha.

And this is another installment of a Month In Photos! Hope to see you later for the other parts to this. πŸ™‚
