Photographer at heart
Was almost ready to depart,
I’d gathered the supplies.

Cameras, film, and a backpack,
Going old school, memories taking me back,
Traveling to the airport, almost makes me cry.

Going to many exotic places,
Where I’ll see many faces –
That is all well and good,

But I do not want to explore,
I want to be home more,
In my own neighborhood!

Is that really so bad?
That right now, traveling makes me sad?
That in pajamas I want to stay?

And crash on the sofa and vent,
Especially during this event,
Trying to write a novel in only thirty days!

The Days Before Cameras Went Digital

This is week eight of 100 Word Wednesday, and here is the photo and my response. 🙂 If you’d like to participate, click the link! 😉

I think a bit and I do barely remember
When a photograph’s life first originated
On a thing called thirty-five millimeter,
And that seemingly forever one hour we waited

After handing over the prized roll of film to a clerk
Just to find out if any of the photos at all
Came out acceptable or if we wasted the energy we exerted.
Ah, the days before cameras went digital…

Now we get results right after the shutter’s click.
The days of film seem to be long past.
Technology has progressed tick by tick,
But alas, the precious memories are to last.

Captured Moment To-Go

This is week forty-five of Three Line Tales and here is the photo and my response. If you want to join in, just click the link; the rules can be found there.😉 This is my third time participating in this fun prompt.🙂

Take a simplistic photo, a captured moment to-go

An instant copied to film instead of pixels, for when minds want memory refills

Printed recollections on paper, saved for viewing again later!
