Six months ago, this photo happened! Amazing to think my Jackie started off so tiny. Now, getting so big!
And now to the update about Jackie…
I made a mistake. And it’s not the first time I’ve made this mistake, haha.
When responding to comments to last week’s post (when I made the post I still didn’t know, but by the time I got around to responding to comments, I did), I responded calling Jack, Jackie. I also called her Jackie above. I don’t know if anyone noticed the hints in the comments or above on this post, but maybe you see where I’m heading with this. 😅
Last Tuesday, Jackie started… calling for a mate. And males don’t do that. So… I think Jackie is a girl, not a boy, haha. Therefore, her name will be Jacqueline, and Jackie for short. (We’ll probably bring her to a vet sometime in the near future to find out for sure and get her fixed.)
This also explains why Jackie and Angel don’t like each other at all. Jackie is aggressive toward Angel. Jackie sees Angel as another female who is a threat. And Angel is likewise.
Yeah that’s what I saw through the screen when Jackie saw Angel. 😅 We put up a screen door in hopes they will get used to each other. So far it hasn’t worked sadly.
We weren’t sure at first but we thought it was settled and we had a boy. We were going to bring her to a vet and have them tell us, but we never did. We spent six months calling her a him. It’s going to take some time to get used to calling her a she instead of a he. 😂
But whatever the case, of course, I love her. ❤
Six months ago… this photo happened.
He is officially six months old now! I found him October 24th of last year. ❤ Boy, they grow up fast. You may be seeing more of him than usual this month as I go through photos and celebrate. 🙂
Jack last month. ❤
Jack during the month of December. 😊 These photos make him look waaaaaaaaay more innocent than he is. 🤣
He’s so cute when he’s sleeping! 😻
Sometimes I find him sleeping in the oddest positions. 😂
We played with my stuffed animals. Easy to miss he’s in this photo at first. 😆
This was the sweetest pose ever – until he moved. 🤣 And of course, he does that right when I click the take photo button… That tongue though. So long. 😮
Jack camouflaged on my zebra print electric throw. And the turtle is Speedy, a TY toy that is probably a collector’s item by now. And Jack likes playing with it. I’m still not sure if I like him playing with it… seems he finally has grown tired of it and plays with his own toy mice. 😅
This day, I wore my “Jack camouflage” shirt. 😂
I realized that you all haven’t seen Jack in a while, so I’m introducing another series in his honor. My baby is growing up!
Of course, this is him pretending to be sweet and blameless.
I discovered the day after the blood moon, while I was outside taking photos, Jack was in my room chewing my earbuds. My dad ordered me a new pair. He chewed clean through the wires. There was no hope of repairing them. I’ve never seen a cat so… chewy. Like a dog.
He’s temperamental and crazy but… I love him. ❤
Here are the B&W photos next to their color originals. 🙂 A few were taken in B&W originally, so for those, I included a photo that I took in color. This has been so fun! 😀
Thank you to Miriam from The Shower of Blessings for nominating me for the Seven Days Seven B&W Photos Challenge! The challenge: Post seven black and white photos, no people, no explanation, of everyday life.
Today I nominate Maddie!
