Safe And Sound

I realize I’m quite late with this – I meant to post this last week – however, I’d like to share it with you all anyway, even though I am waaaaay too late to be included in the week sixty-three of Three Line Tales round-up. XD

If you had a hundred sheep to tend to – and one was nowhere to be found,

What would you do? Leave the ninety-nine to bring the lost homeward bound?

Call everyone and let’s celebrate, for the lost sheep has returned safe and sound!

Be wise, build your home – on the steadfast Cornerstone!

Matthew 7:24 – 27: “…Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it…”

Ephesians 2:20 – 22: “…And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”

Quality Meats At Low Cost?

I pass by and see a brightly lit neon sign, advertising quality meats so fine.

I think of the creatures whose lives were lost, to produce these quality meats at a low cost,

But the cost was high. I lose my appetite, and decide I shall to go vegan tonight.

 

 

*I’m actually not a vegan, but I have considered it. I love animals and the thought of where meat comes from does make me sad. When it comes to eating meat, I usually stick to birds and fish, but still…

I Pray For My Safety And Sanity

I have never flown in a plane before, it’s plain to see – I’d rather be on dry land; I pray for my safety and sanity.

I envision Him protecting me under His wings – and I am grateful for the peace and comfort He brings.

I look out the window to see a three-leaf clover that reminds me of the Trinity – what a sign of His love that He never left me to my fears, but stayed with me!

I was once in a maximum-security prison;

The wardens were sin, anxiety, and depression.

After a long sentence, I was released by the loving Son!

My heart is like a waffle, as odd as it may sound; every time it breaks, a chunk falls to the ground.

Life plays on the checkerboard within; and it feels like a game that I cannot win.

But Christ’s love is sweeter than syrup or honey; it’s poured on my heart, filling the holes inside me!
