“All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the LORD endures forever.”
Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. (First Peter 1:24-25)
As I was looking through my photos, I found this one (among many others I plan to share eventually 😅) that I haven’t shared yet, and I thought of this verse. I haven’t made one of these in a while, so I thought I would. I love how there is a promise of the word of the Lord enduring forever in these verses. ❤
Hope you are having a great Monday! ❤
P.S.: I’m catching up with comments – I love reading and responding to you all, but I’ve been busy the past couple of weeks. 🙂
Beautiful photo to go with a beautiful verse. Catch up when you can, we will all be right here 🙂 LORD, thank You for continuing to bless Grace 🙂

Thank you! ❤ Though I can't take credit for the verse or the beauty of the flower. 🙂

When I first say your title I though it was going to reference the book of James.
Beautiful post, Grace!

This verse? “For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits” (James 1:11) I considered it when picking a verse for this photo. 🙂 I also considered Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” I didn’t because I already used it in 2017.
Thank you! ❤

Yes that is the verse in James I first thought of. God is so amazing to pour Himself all over His word. It allows His word to stand out and make you go…. “Hey that’s just the verse I love in….” I’m sure God must smile as He sees we paid attention to His word and continuously fall in love with excitement. ❤
