I Let Them In

Don’t let them in
But I opened the door in ignorance
Don’t flirt with sin
But I smiled in my innocence

Oh my Husband, when I turned away
The inner demons came out to play
I let them in Your house
And now…
I can’t fight any longer
They fight hard

My house is a mess
Like a tornado tore through
Sin tries to convince
But I see his words are untrue

Oh my Husband, when I turned away
Sin came with intent to slay
I let him in Your house
And now…
I can’t fight any longer
I fight hard but he fights harder

I’m sorry, I’m sorry
I try to turn away
But they came out to play
But they intend to stay
I… give… up…

“Oh my child, I am stronger
If you just let Me fight for you
None can stand against Me
Inner demons have to leave
Sin and Satan have to flee.”
You came and cleaned Your house
And now…
I’m no longer
A slave to sin and inner demons

Firstly, sorry to Jackie but this seemed like a good image of what I wouldn’t want to let in the door. XD She was actually meeting Angel, our 15-year-old, though the screen and was hissing, spitting, growling and generally letting Angel know that she didn’t care for her at all. And you know me. I thought her trying to be mean was cute so I took photos. Later I realized how mean she actually looked. XD

As with Flirting With Sin, this will have another part or two to go with it. 🙂 Hope to see you there! ❤

    • Thank you! ❤

      Yes, exactly. 🙂

Haha, she does. And sometimes she is that mean. Dad said that every cat he has seen that is black and white seems to have two personalities. A sweet one and a mean one. I'm not going to judge by the colors, but this sure rings true for Jackie.

Oh my. I don't blame you! We had one we left outdoors when I was a kid that I affectionately named "Mean Ol' Cat" and if you didn't go outside with food, your leg would bleed. She was a tabby I think. I was really young, like five year old when we had her.

  1. Yes, God is stronger! And, Jesus already paid the price for our sins so that we can go free from our slavery to sin. So, we don’t have to live in sin any longer. It should no longer be what controls us. But, Satan will try to convince us that he is stronger and that he can conquer us, and so we put on the armor of God with which to fight off his attacks and his schemes against us, and we submit ourselves to the Lord, and we refuse to give in to Satan, and we call on God and on his strength and power with which to fight off those evil forces coming against us. And, we believe God’s Word to us and we refute Satan’s lies.

    • “Yes, God is stronger!”
Because of that line, I just spent almost an hour writing a poem and reading Psalm 51. 🙂

“But, Satan will try to convince us that he is stronger and that he can conquer us, and so we put on the armor of God with which to fight off his attacks and his schemes against us, and we submit ourselves to the Lord, and we refuse to give in to Satan, and we call on God and on his strength and power with which to fight off those evil forces coming against us.”
AMEN! “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7. 😀
