Welcome to part two of April in Photos! 🙂
Mamaw’s daffodils! At least, I think they are. May not be. The blooms on these are so small. She let me dig up some of the bulbs so maybe I’ll have some next year. 🙂
I found some wildflowers along the path while walking to the lake.
I’m not sure what these are, but they are really pretty and have different shades of purples and pinks.
These were everywhere around the lake.
These are SO TINY.
The pink veins in the petals of this one are really neat.
I’ve never seen a flower with oddball petals like this one. Three smalls and a long one. It’s not symmetrical at all.
I heard a plane, so I thought I’d test out my zoom. I didn’t expect it to be this clear!
Apparently, there is a resident beaver living on Mamaw’s lake now.
Last photo of the day. Night was starting to fall, and the colors behind this pine were amazing. A great way to end this post. 🙂
If the beavers want a deeper lake, they may try clogging the spillway. My Dad had an open war against the beavers. They were flooding valuable pasture land.
Beautiful flowers.

Ooohhh, I see. 🙂 I remember my grandpa killing them because they kept damming it up. Now that he’s gone, my grandma lets her neighbor go on the lake to fish and he set up beaver traps. All he’s caught so far are squirrels though.
Wow, I see why he had a war with them! That had to be frustrating.
😀 God made such a great variety! 😀

I love the tiny flowers. I will press them and make little cards and gift tags with them. Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.

I think the first purple one is a perennial sweet pea. Here’s a link to pictures: https://www.superseeds.com/products/sweet-pea?variant=5280948100¤cy=USD&_vsrefdom=adwords&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0IDtBRC6ARIsAIA5gWuJGssQrG58DQFqqAT2iZpwVh4nAh5Uv1Lx2LBBmxPmY1FInszel8IaAjx4EALw_wcB

Oh wow you found it! ❤ And it's perennial?! I can dig some up and bring it home for next year then?! YES! 😀 "Aggressive climbing" – well, that sounds fun! 🙂

Yes! Sounds like fun! I wish you good success with your transplants! Apparently there are seeds, too. I’m not sure when they can be collected or if it’s too late in the year.

There are a few that look similar to that assymmetrical flower on this page:

Wow that does look like it! 😀 Weird the plant is native to the northwestern US. How did it get to Arkansas?!

Idk! The 1st of the 2 links says there are around 250 species in the neararctic and a few others in the North American portion of the neotropics. Then it says:
“Although widespread across North America, and found in habitats ranging from open desert to moist forests, and up to the alpine zone, they are not typically common within their range.” Maybe migratory birds or even people moving from one place to another carried seeds or cuttings and got them started.

Beautiful. April seems to be forgotten as Fall is appearing, but it is nice to look back on the beauty we saw in April.

Pretty flowers. I was going to say I think the pink and purple ones are wild sweet peas and I see someone else thought so too. Enjoying you photos and blog.
