Last week, I met Sweet William (thanks Refreshing Spirit for identifying these), and it was such a pleasure! I’d also like to introduce all of you to them:
I really like these! I think I planted them a year ago. I bought a box of wildflower seeds (many varieties in there – maybe 10 or so) and put them around the irises and daffodils, but I didn’t think any of them came up. All I saw were weeds. I considered pulling them all up (still convinced they were weeds), but I never got to it. Turns out… they just had to mature! 😃 Aren’t they lovely? This is one time I’m glad I put something off. 😆 I hope to meet them again! ❤️
This is Miss Spiderwort! Or well… just Spiderwort. 🙂 They are infiltrating at this point. I may have to move some of them to a new location. Their flowers are pretty, but they are taking over the irises and lilies.

Love your flowers – so beautiful. Have a lot of the Spiderwort in my yard. The smaller bees love it.

Ohhh that’s great! When I relocate some of it, I’ll be sure to plant it near the garden to attract the smaller bees. 😍
