To Lose Is To Gain – WWP Week #1

One day I went from well-liked to outcast
Utterly disregarded and ignored
The only friend I have is loneliness and Jesus.
Cut off from the in-crowd
Alone – will no one wants to be my friend now
Still standing tall, throughout, because
To lose all that I have is to gain all that He is.

This was in response to the Weekend Writing Prompt #1, Outcast. The poetry challenge was to do an acrostic of outcast, so here it is. If you would like to join in the fun, here is a link to the submission guidelines for the anthology. The deadline is August 10th. πŸ™‚
