My Eyes Are On You

My Eyes Are On You

I know not what to do,
But my eyes are on You

I know not what is planned for me
But I put all of my Trust in Thee

You are with me in my days of struggle.
You are my stronghold in days of trouble.

I know not what needs to be done
But I keep my eyes on You, The Son

You are with me in our days of delight
And You are with me in my darkest night

In highest peak or in the lowest valley
I know that Your Light will shine on me

I know not what is in the time to come
I only know where my strength comes from

Your Spirit is my guide
In You, I will abide

O our God, wilt Thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon Thee. Second Chronicles 20:12

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him. –Nahum 1:7

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. – Isaiah 9:2

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the Vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.” John 15:4

I almost feel like this is the sequel to “Jesus Will Be With Me.” Haha. 🙂

I didn’t mean to go this long without posting; I’ve been writing a novel as I mentioned in my last post (and it’s really coming along!), but I’m also having some light sensitivity, which makes it uncomfortable and sometimes painful to look at the screen for long periods of time. Therefore, I’ve been doing my best to keep up with writing my novel and reading your wonderful posts in short bursts throughout the day – while wearing sunglasses 😎 – and I haven’t spent much time in composing posts. 😅 It’s getting better now, so hopefully, I’ll get back to posting at least twice a week. 😊

**Special thanks to Margaret from The Word for posting the Isaiah 9:2 verse. Because of that verse and the timing of the posting, I was able to finish two lines that I was so stuck in finishing. 🙂 (And yes, that is a link in her name if you want to check out her wonderful blog. 😉)

  1. I’ve prayed and thanking God for you feeling better, and your novel progress :):):) Now to your post, It has been a bit, and you are missed but it was worth the wait! Your words, the verses, the images, it is all wonderful! I appreciate the kind words but we know, the Lord knew what you needed to finish, and He made a way for that little Divine nugget to be where you could see it :):):) I thank God for continuing to bless you :):)

  2. This is so beautiful and poetic!! It completely sounds like a song. ❤ No worries on there being time in between posts, the fact that you’re writing a story is awesome!! Sorry you’re having that bit of sensitivity, though. I’m praying for you! ❤

  3. Thank you so much!
I’m 73 {and still counting} and it took me a long time to grasp how much GOD desires to be involved in our personal lives. What an AMAZING discovery this was. Indeed and In DEEDS our God does have His Eyes upon us.

“Let US Rejoice and be glad.”
Easter Blessings, good luck with the book. I’LL pray about your sight issues.

    • I’m so glad that you enjoyed this! ❤

Oh wow! 🙂 I'm still learning about this too; I thought the exact same way. "This is too trivial to worry such a great God about" or "This is too much to burden Him about." But Jesus says to cast burdens on Him and He will give us rest, and doesn't specify how big or small those burdens should be. Amen, it is an amazing discovery indeed! 😀

Blessings to you as well, and thank you for the prayers! I don't need sunglasses anymore; the light sensitivity is nearly gone. 🙂 And the book is really coming along!

  4. Grace! I am so happy to see you posting! It is very vital for us to keep our eyes on Him in these times.

I’ll keep you in my prayers and I’m happy to know that you’re making progress with the novel. 💙

  5. Powerful!!!!

I so relate. I’ve been slowly getting better at balancing working on the book and blogging. I try to write for the book first, and then blog. Even if just for 30 minutes, something. It’s not perfect, but it’s in the making 🙂 I hope your light sensitivity gets easier for you.

    • Thank you! ❤ 😊

I'm so glad that you're getting better with balancing! I really need to get better at it. Camp NaNo helped me focus, but I need to make writing on a book a regular thing, not just when NaNo has a writing event. 😊

I'm so happy to hear that it's in the making! 😀

Thank you, it's better! I don't need sunglasses anymore, but I can still tell it's there. I just turn the screen brightness on my laptop down and that helps a lot. 🙂
