The Sonset And The Sonrise

And they shall scourge Him, and put Him to death: and the third day He shall rise again. Luke 18:33

“He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you.” Matthew 28:6-7

Can you imagine what it must have been like when He rose? For three days, He was in the tomb, dead. It appeared that this Man Who was called “The Son” had set. What dark days those must have been. But then, He rose and His Light shone again! What a glorious morning!

This is in response to Rise / Set. The photos were taken on different days. The first is a sunset, the second is the moon (which also rises and sets so I decided to include it in the photo challenge – and it also seemed to go with the theme of the dark days) and the last is a sunrise.

Happy Easter // Resurrection Day, everyone. 🙂
