Jesus Will Be With Me

When I go through water’s deep
Jesus will be with me

When billowing waves overtake
With me, He will still be

When at night I fall fast asleep,
Jesus will be with me

And when in the morning I wake
With me, He will still be

For without Him I would drown
In brutal waters deep

If He were not with me, I know
Water would overtake

For without Him, when I lay me down
Fears would keep me from sleep

If He were not with me, from sleep’s hold
I would not ever wake

Thank you for always being there, Jesus! ❤

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown… (Isaiah 43:2 NLT)

Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all Thy waves and Thy billows are gone over me. Yet the LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. (Psalm 42:7-8 KJV)

In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety. (Psalm 4:8 NASB)

On an unrelated note, while catching up on responding to all of your wonderful comments, it only let me go back for four days. 😲 If you left a comment or responded to me before that, I am so sorry that I didn’t reply – I didn’t know that the notifications would only let me go back that far and I don’t know how to check for comments before that time. If there is a comment that I missed, please let me know and I’ll come respond! ❤

Edited to add: If you would like to hear this poem sung, Hayley did a wonderful job – click here to check it out!

  2. I love the poem!!!

Comment talk! Okay, this includes not being able to read the Unread section of your bell notifications? I’ve found when my comments do not always appear, the unread section will show me anything I haven’t seen yet, and I haven’t had an issue with it.

Otherwise, you might want to go to your comment settings, and start scrolling through. Yes, it may take a bit of time especially with your comments and the comments you’ve seen, but this will allow you to see ALL comments. Dates are includes so that will help.

If you don’t know where the comment settings are, I wrote a post about it on the my second blog. You can find them here. https://peekingfrombeneaththerock.wordpress.com/2017/12/20/where-to-find-comment-settings-blogger-101/

    • Thank you! ❤

Yes it does! THANK YOU!!! 😀

This is so great, thank you for sharing this with me! 😀 I had found the comments in the WP admin but not in this admin panel. Are the comments listed in the comment settings all of the comments left on my blog only or does it include replies on comments I left on other blogs as well, if that makes sense?

Thank you for the link – that was very helpful! ❤

      • Your comment settings contain comments on your blog only. So both comments from people commenting on posts and your replies to them. Comments that you make on other people’s blogs will not be under your comment settings, nor will their replies to you. I know what you mean. Comment settings allow you to edit comments so when I mess up a comment on another blog I forget I can’t edit it haha. I’m glad it was helpful. I’m glad the link came in handy for you. 🙂 That’s why I started the series to help others with what I learned.

        • Ah, okay. Thank you! Still, it’s great to know that there is a way to check comments besides the bell notifications. 🙂

Yes! I found that out on the WP admin panel. I’ve had to use it several times to fix typos. 😅 Usually, if I notice a typo on a comment, I’ll go ahead and fix it.

I love your blogging series! 🙂 You’ve added to it since I had last visited Peeking Beneath; I really should go ahead and subscribe to it too. 😅 I’m very thankful that you started that series. It helped me when I was setting up my new theme last month. 😀

  3. Amen! He’ll always be with me. I love the poem, Grace, although I read it as a song. I was going to give you a tip on reading all your comments, but T.R. already covered it.

  5. Awww Grace!! ❤ This was a beautiful poem. Thank you so much for sharing it, I enjoyed reading it (:

It's so annoying that WP notifications only go back a few days, haha! Although, if it would load more, it'd probably crash my computer. XD Sometimes, I'll have to go back to posts and respond to older comments there because they get lost in my notifications. Oh, well!

    I hope you're doing well!

    • Thank you! ❤ I'm so glad that you enjoyed it; I was happy to share. 🙂

Yeah, haha! I will try to make sure that I keep up with it from now on! Ooohhh, that's a good point… the reader sometimes crashes mine when I try to load too much as once. XD That's a good strategy!

Thank you, I'm okay! 🙂 If I may ask, how are you and your family?

  9. I know that I need to be still in His presence. It is such a beautiful time. I have “Be Still and Know” up in the most bustling part of my home so I can remember to be still in Him. Thank you for this beautiful reflection. Blessings.
