A Walk Down Church Street
Rain
Pouring from the sky
The umbrella tries
In vain
To keep me dry
Puddles
Form as splashing droplets
Collect with dirt on pavement
Muddles
My shoes, to my discontent
Reflections
Like mirrors on the street
I watch myself watching me
In the intersection
Glad that I wasn’t hit by a taxi
Misty morning
What a beautiful way
To start off my stay
Sojourning
Near The Gooderham Building today
Eager to explore
The city of Toronto
We should go sightseeing pronto!
I joyfully implore,
“Where next in Canada should we go?”
Go back to Toronto! Go see Niagra Fall on Canada side.

Oh, that would be so fun! π
I haven’t been to Canada for the first time yet, though I’d like to! The photos I’ve seen of Niagara Falls are so beautiful! β€

Can you travel? I know you have to take care of your dad. π

No, I can’t travel, sadly. At the moment, I “travel” by reading books and reading posts by the lovely people on WordPress. π

Other than taking care of your dad, what else prevent you from traveling. π

For one thing, I can’t drive. My mom is talking about possibly getting my license this year though, which would be exciting. π
Also… I have no one to go with and I’d be scared to go by myself. We used to travel some when I was younger, but we never left “The South.” We’ve been to Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and my dad drove across the border once so I could say I’ve been to Oklahoma. π There are places in Arkansas that I’d like to go as well but they are too far away. I’ve heard great things about Eureka Springs and Hot Springs. The Ozarks are so beautiful; I’d love to go back there someday.

You’re still young. Once you get your license, you may feel okay to go places by yourself. I used to know a guy who is afraid to get on the plane. He didn’t go to his daughter’s graduation in New York when he lived in California! π

π Maybe so! I don’t like crowds. I’ve been known to not go down a grocery store aisle if there are people already down it. π I’m trying to get better with that.
Oh, I don’t blame him! Flying would terrify me too! π
