The Day Will Be Born!

**I wrote this before looking at the photo full screen; after getting a closer look, I realized that there ARE cars on the road. Oops. 😅 But I’m posting this as it is anyway.

I glance down at a skyscraper
That reached up toward the clouds,
It was seen clearly through the foggy vapor
Because winds blew away the shroud…

I saw no cars or people on the roadways this morn.
It was almost time! Have they no clue?
The sun will rise, the day will be born!
I sang the song, “Hello sun, good morning to you!”

I fluttered on by, getting a bird’s eye view,
My vermillion wings catching the air;
I felt the wind in my feathers as I flew
Away; my job here, done. Time to sing elsewhere!
