Iโm worthless, my life is in vain;
Tried to fix myself, but superglue
Canโt hold me together; the pain
Inside is too great, Iโm too blue.
Not the blue of the sky or ocean,
But the kind that has no cheer;
The kind that throws you in prison,
The kind that comes with fearโฆ
Everyone would be better off without me;
Iโm just a burden; I canโt pull myself out
Of the dark hole; they are just blinded by pity.
They donโt realize how good it would be without.
Iโm a pathetic excuse for a creature;
No good to anyone, not even God.
Itโs too late for me, of that Iโm sure,
Adam created from dirt, me from sod.
Filled with guilt and despair,
Depression grabs my soul,
And takes me on the way there,
Down into the darkest holeโฆ
I said I wouldnโt, but Iโm done,

I’m so glad I didn’t stop reading at “…I’m done.” What a wonderful poem and story behind the poem!

You’re a miracle child! What a great story, Penelope! Is it your picture also on Sharon’s blog? You are so pretty. You have a lot of hair. I like your dress. You did a good job writing your poem. I’m glad the depression no long had a hold on you and it disappeared! God is with you all the time!

Yes, it is! ๐ Thank you! ๐ I was hesitant about showing my face, but I finally decided to come out of my shell a bit. Yes, lots of hair! Thanks, that’s one of my favorite dresses. ๐
Thank you! ๐ โค
Me too! it still tries, but it doesn’t last like it used to, which is nice! ๐ Yes, what a great God! โค

You’re very pretty! Even though your picture doesn’t show your eyes, I’m sure your eyes are beautiful. Next time, I’ll see your eyes with a big smile. A smile from your grateful heart! God has been good to you!! โฅ*โฅ*โฅ

I think you should use that picture for your blog profile. Two or three people eventually use their own pictures for their profiles, and I can SEE them!

I’ll consider using it. ): It would be nice to have a change, though I really do like the moth; I have a feeling if I change it, I won’t know myself anymore! ๐

You can display that moth on your footer as a widget. You drop down My Sites, go to WP pick the Admin, appearance – widgets, pick the Gallery from the left, drop it to footer. Click the drop down arrow to name that gallery, choose an image from Media library, and link it to your Media file, Style: choose Tile. It will stay there permanently! I don’t know id your theme allows to post an logo, if it does, you could post the moth as a logo.

Whaaaat?! I had no idea, that’s so cool; I may just have to do that!! ๐ I haven’t looked at the widgets much; that is really neat!! Thanks for the advice!! ๐
For now, I did make the avatar change; I have been thinking about changing it for a while, but I couldn’t decide on what. Thanks for the idea. ๐

True! ๐ I haven’t gotten to it yet though. My uncle is staying with us for a few days; he’s from the Houston area. Thankfully he left in time to avoid the worst of it. It’s really bad there now!

Oh, what is bad there? Weather or…?

Major flooding; Hurricane Harvey caused a lot of damage and sadly, a few people have died. ๐ฆ

Oh, I read about that in two blogs. Now I don’t have to watch he news, just read the blogs and I get the news. One blogger said that in Texas, the volunteers work along with the professionals to help the victims!

That’s my strategy as well, except for what my dad tells me after he watches the news.
I’ve seen one blogger: https://messageinstanza.wordpress.com/2017/08/29/hurricane-harvey-update/
That’s good; I hope that means they get to help more people!

Yes, some blogs complained about a pastor named Osten who has a huge church but was not open to house people temporary.

Oh wow.
He just didn’t want to, or was there a reason for it? That’s really sad…

The news last night said he opened his church. He was interviewed and he explained why it was delayed.
