My Oasis

The heat of the world burns;
I rest in His cool shadow,
And of Living Waters, I yearn,
To drown the drought filled sorrows.

In this dry world, my soul pants for Thee;
You are my thirst-quenching Oasis;
In a dry land where no water is;
And where no other shelter can be.

He is my sanctuary,
Where I can freely rest;
I am in Him and He in me,
The Holy Spirit quenches best!

In the early morning hour,
I will seek You first thing;
To You be the glory, my King,
To Whom has all the power!
