Into The Cool Water

It’s week 29 of 100 Word Wednesday, and here is the photo and my response. 🙂 If you’d like to join in, just click the link! 😉

What a beautiful coast! 😍 Haha, this is the third time that mermaids have made an appearance in a 100 Word Wednesday prompt, except this time, the roles have been reversed… 😄

Walking along the coastline
I spot a jeweled bangle
Admire the sparkling tourmaline
Put it on, let it dangle

Suddenly I can’t breathe
The air is too thin
And where my legs used to be
Have turned into fins.

How magical! I’ve had quite enough
Of water being out of my reach.
So I put on the magical cuff,
And I walk down the beach

And into the cool water.
I put the bracelet back on
And I don’t even falter;
This is natural to me!

This may sound strange;
But it’s time for a change!
Goodbye air and land,
Hello water and sand!

          I know! 😀 I’m excited about it and also a little nervous – I don’t know how to use Windows 10. My newish laptop (I got it about 4 years ago) that I sometimes get to hit WiFi hotspots with has Window’s 7 and I know a few basics with it. And it’s amazing how fast things load! Videos even! Haha. It will definitely be a learning experience, with new hardware! 🙂 I’m making the photo posts with the text and borders on a program called PhotoImpression by ArcSoft – made in 1999! I doubt that software is still around anymore! 😂

          I literally started laughing out loud – I know, it’s amazing they had laptops then. It’s a mix of a Thinkpad T22, a T23 and a T24 laptop made my IBM. It’s almost like a Frankenstein’s monster of laptops at this point. And I love it. 🙂 I have it on now, playing a game and music at the same time.

          Haha, we used to have a tower as well… this desktop is not standing like a tower it lays down length-ways, if that makes sense. The newest thing about the system I’m using is the screen – it’s a flat screen. 😄

          • Wow, Grace, this all sounds so fantastic. You have Windows 10…I don’t even run on that! It should be a lot of fun learning how to use it and the laptop you have is about as new as mine, (about 4 years old), so you have some really great stuff to work with there. Good for you! I’m glad you are so excited about things. And yes, they had some technology back in 1999. I didn’t own any back then, but I used my mom’s computer. It actually was on “AOL.com” and it would tell you “You’ve got mail” when you turned it on!

            Oh well, fast forward to today. I’m happy for you, Grace…flat screen and all! 🙂 🙂

            • Yeah! 😀 At the moment, it is sitting on a shelf above this computer, doing nothing. Oh, how I’d like to get high speed Internet so I can use it!

              Ooohhh, I’ve heard of those! How cool. 🙂

              Thanks! 🙂

        • (Again, a comment on the Stained Glass post wouldn’t go through so putting it here.)

          Thank you; it does, and everyone has been so nice. 🙂

          Aww. 🙂 It wouldn’t be a regular day on WP if I didn’t see a few of your comments, too!

          Hhaha! Well, it was a nice mistake! I noticed that you went through several changes before deciding on one. 😄
