Prayers ascend; incense on the breeze
As the strong storms of life blow;
At times braving them won’t come with ease,
But the important thing is to never let go.
You are my Savior, Lord;
You are the Living Word;
Your life, You graciously gave;
My life, You continually save.
You brought me out of the lowest pit,
And put me on a straight path,
Now comes the hard part: staying on it.
But because of You, nothing hath
The authority,
The audacity,
To hassle me,
Or wrestle me.
My Love, my God, You are sufficient,
You rescued me from the darkest place.
The cross with Your Son that you sent:
Instead of loathe, You brought Your grace.
I don’t know how You
Love me, but I praise You
I bow to You
I pray to You.
No enemy can push me to the edge
For You are Supreme, they must flee
Your love for me surpasses all knowledge
I love You now, and I will for all eternity.
Let my prayer be set forth before Thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. (Psalm 141:2 – thank you to Unashamed of Jesus for posting this Scripture yesterday; it was exactly what I needed to finish this poem! ❤)
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. (Revelation 8:3+4)
Wonderful writing and a powerful testimony! Thank you!

“My Love, my God, You are sufficient”, and “For You are Supreme, they must flee” isn’t that everything. Amen 🙂

Yes, I haven’t seen some of your old posts! How did you do the layer of photos and writing!

😀 We met in August of last year, didn’t we? I can’t believe we’ve been friends now for a whole year! 😁
Which post are you referring to that has the layers of photo and writing? 😅

The one you just posted. It has a background, then it seems like another frame, and then the writing of a quote or your poem?

Ooohhhhh. Prayers Ascend? I literally took a photo of a page in an old Bible and set the purple heart sticker on it. 🙂 I didn’t do the framing; it just sort of happened! I had it on my bed and the sheets are dark so it just came out that way. The top is red because the edge of the pages are red. It was a wonderful surprise how it turned out! God is good! 😊

Oohhh, haha. Sorry!
I don’t know if this is helpful, but I do frame photos with a program called Photo Impression 3 (made by ArcSoft back in the late 1990’s) sometimes, but I’m not sure if that program is still available anymore. It has a “Frames and Edges” tab that allows me to create fun frames for my photos. But I didn’t use it for that one. 😅 I don’t think I’ve posted one of those lately… maybe I should…

Oh, how fun! 🙂 I’ve never tried PhotoShop, but I’ve seen it sold and crave to try it. Maybe someday.

I used to to erase a name badge on someone’s photo. When the name badge is gone, it shows the color of the shirt as if she didn’t wear one.

Wow! That is really cool; it must take skill to do that!

No, you just learn to use different tools. The tools do those tricks!

It must take a while to learn to use the tools skillfully though. 🙂
