100 words exactly this week! ๐

this image came from Unsplash artist Geran de Klerk
I look beneath me to see
An island on a turtleโs shell
Floating haphazardly
Along the oceanโs swells.
What an adventure! But Iโd rather fly
Up here in the salty air
Than have my fate decided by
That turtle down there.
For when it finally goes under,
Iโd hope that the one who in there dwells
Attached the house firmly, or it will asunder
And the pieces will become driftwood on the swells!
I catch the early morning breeze
And leisurely, on the air currents I drift away;
Flapping feathered wings with ease,
Hoping to see the turtle again someday!
So great! You’re an amazing poet!
What do you think of this poem I wrote?
