Salamander Surprise

When walking out to the garden, my mom almost stepped on this fellow:

Her reaction at first was, “SNAAAAAAAAKE,” but that was quickly followed by, “Oh never mind, it has legs.” 😂 She was quite relieved.

He was kind enough to let me get 20+ photos of him. Poor thing seemed to have lost its tail though. He seemed fine besides that. He was much faster than I expected. When he finally left, it was so fast that if I had blinked I would have missed it.

I’m glad that God brought him across my mom’s path so these photos could be taken! 🙂

  1. You just love all of God’s little creatures, don’t you Grace! That tail may grow back, like with lizards. I remember catching a lizard by the tail once as a boy. He wriggled a bit, slipped his tail, and was off in the grass! I was amazed!!
I was told the tail would grow back…
