Like the poem Draw Nigh!, this poem was inspired by a Psalm – in this case, Psalm 96 (which is included below the poem). 🙂
The Lord of Hosts Reigns Always!
Sing unto the Lord, every nation!
Praise His Holy Name, everyone
Bless Him who brought salvation
Through the only Begotten Son
Declare His glory so all may see
Who made the heavens and all within
Say, “There are no gods before Thee” –
Speak of His wonders, again and again!
Strength and beauty are before The King
Honor and majesty are in His sanctuary
Bring glory and praise as an offering – sing –
“Because no, no one can come before Thee!”
O worship the Lord, for His holiness
Shines brighter than any splendor
His name only should we bless
Forever and ever and ever!
Speak so unbelievers can understand
That the Lord of Hosts reigns always!
He holds all in the world in his hand
He shall be fair on that great of days
Let the heavens rejoice!
And let the earth be glad!
Let the sea roar with its voice!
With God, there is no gloom to be had!
Let the fields be joyful,
And all therein be cheered,
Let the trees be jovial,
For the One who is to be revered!
He comes to judge with His truth,
His righteousness, and virtue,
He shall judge the old and the youth,
I will be glad that day; what about you?
Psalm 96:
1: O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2: Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3: Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4: For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5: For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
6: Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7: Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
8: Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9: O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10: Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
11: Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12: Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13: Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
Your poem is beautiful! Amen and amen – praise be to our God most high! What an encouragement to me today. Thank you!

Another beautiful poem, Grace! And what a nice touch to add the Psalm…Yes, the Savior is to be revered as the Most Holy One, the Son of The Most High God, the only God…

(Haha, I’m probably one of the few people my age who don’t know much texting lingo, so thanks for the explanation!)

Do you have a cell phone? That’s where a lot of “lingo” takes place. I’m not sure I could read a text these days myself!???

I do, but the texting feature is turned off, which surprises most people. Also, my dad usually has it most of the time because I don’t have anyone to call except for my parents, and that way, if he needs something, he can call my mom. 🙂 (He has exercise induced asthma, so this way he doesn’t have to walk across the house and possibly cause an asthma attack if he needs us.)
LOL, me either! XD

Oh that must be hard on your dad. Thank goodness that’s one thing I don’t have to deal with. Does your dad have attacks often? And do the paramedics have to treat him when he has an attack? I am surprised you don’t have any of your friends or more family numbers in your cell phone…
Oh, let me try a text message in the text “lingo”…Let’s see, oh how about this:
“U b gd and hve a grt day! Its kul to b alive. I sw a hssng trutle in the rd. yestrdy. I hssd bk. at hm thn ran awy! hehe…”
Did u gt. ths 1? 🙂

Yeah, it is. I couldn’t imagine dealing with it either. Yes, but he has a rescue inhaler; we’ve never had to call the paramedics though once we probably should have but he didn’t want to.
Heh, well… I might if I had friends to put in there. Not counting online, I talk to my parents, and that’s pretty much it. Most of my friends I talk to online, not on the phone, and that’s because most of them don’t live in the same timezone as me, haha. I did talk to one on the phone, but I was almost panicking so… we went back to online.
Haha!! U b gd n have a gr8 day 2! LOL, yes, I got that! Oh… y, I got tht 1. 😂

Oh bless your dad’s heart! Is it something that can get any better over time? It might help to live in a warmer, dryer climate but I suppose moving is out of the question. Oh well, then you do the best you can I guess..
Hey, you understand that text wording stuff! I have to stop and think about how to write it. It’s faster for me to just write the words out in full…hehe! 🙂
I’m sorry Grace that you almost panicked that one time. I think it’s a shame that such a sweet person as yourself has such a hard time with meeting new friends or talking with them on the phone. Is this the way you have always been? 🙂

We aren’t sure; but we hope so!
Yeah, moving is out of the question. At least it’s summer now; but it’s humid on most days!
Most of it! 😀 LOL, I have to think about it too. It requires so much brainpower that, like you, I prefer to write out the words in full! 🙂
Aww. **blush** I think so. i remember when I was a kid that it always took a long time to open up to other kids on the playground. And then I would almost always end up with a nervous stomach afterwards. It seems to have progressed from being a bit anxious to being a bit panicky.

Well, take care of your mom and dad…honor them as your parents, for that pleases God. And see, I wrote out every word completely. So much for texting!
I know about tummy troubles, I have them too. Even at my age, nerves can flip my stomach around and around. The problem is that if we don’t “challenge” the fears sometimes, the problem gets worse! Don’t let that happen to you, Grace…

Haha, yes! So much for texting!
Aww, I’m sorry. You’re quite right. I’ll try not to let that happen! 🙂

Yea, it would be a shame for the shyness to grow worse. Just get out and be Grace…you’re a wonderful sounding person, the kind people just like! Let others see you for who you are…I can’t imagine anyone having a problem with you at all!
🙂

Aww, thank you. 🙂 ♥

I’ll bet you are just like that little rose who, with a little sunlight and water, blooms huge! All you need is a little confidence and a push to try some things…you’ll be great, (graceful!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 🙂

Hi Grace,
Wonderful post. Do you think Grace comes in as part of His perfect Judgement? I always wonder how perfect judgement and grace will mix in the end. I know judgment will be perfect as you said. How will it look when it happens is what I wonder? Yes, your poem makes me think.
Blessings,
Denny

Hi Denny!
Thank you! 🙂
(For a moment there, I thought you meant me. 😂 I was about to say, I have nothing to do with His perfect judgment, lol.) That is a good question! I’m not sure; I guess we will find out for sure on that day, and in the meantime, we’ll have to ponder it. 🙂 (Unless it is written in the Bible somewhere; I haven’t read all of the books yet! 😊) I’m glad you enjoyed it and it makes you think! ♥
Blessings! ❤
