I love gardening. Here are some shots I’ve taken over the last few years of things in my garden. First up are bell pepper blooms (yes, that’s an ant on it π) and fruit:
McMahon’s Texas Bird hot peppers – they are like little balls of fire!
I’ve never had a ghost pepper before; I’ve been told it’s hotter than habanero peppers. It just turned red (and I haven’t even planted it yet!) and I’m excited to see what it’s like!
The blueberries are slowly ripening:
Eggplant bloom (the white stuff on the stalk is some insecticide; I had problems with someone other than me eating my eggplant) and fruit:
Tomatillo Gigante Verde blooms (Spanish giant green tomatillos; they are great for salsa! I’m not growing them this year; I grew them a couple of years ago and still have sealed jars of salsa left π):
Tomato blooms and not yet ripe fruit:
Okra bloom:
Squash blooms (with a bonus moth!):
Cucumber bloom:
My plants this year are coming along. I already have eggplant, tomatoes and peppers slowly growing on the plants. π Unfortunately, when I was weeding, I came across some poison oak… but I’m trying to think of the fruits and veggies I get to pick in the fall and how it will be worth the itching I have now! No pain, no gain, right? π
Beautiful photos for this week’s theme. Thanks π

Lovely photos! I’m enjoying the time in my garden as well. It’s not large – as I live in a townhouse, but I love it! A small patch of wildflowers this year, lots of herbs, (Peppermint, Parsley, Anise Hyssop, Bee Balm, Oregano, Marjoram, Basil – cinnamon, regular, and purple, Cilantro, Thyme – lemon and regular), Cherry and Beef Steak Tomatoes (one each), and lettuce! I love watching each grow – each so different. God is an amazing creator!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I loved this one, not sure how I missed it! I have a “sensitive stomach” however, so I’m not sure how the hot peppers would do for me. I’d probably hurt myself!…hehe. Do you like the spicy stuff?

LOL, I might hurt myself too with this one!
I love the spicy stuff. π I actually bought cowhorn peppers too, but they are supposed to be medium-hot. We’ll see. XD

I’m one who has to test the salsa by taking a corner of a chip and just getting enough on it to barely get it wet! I like some spicy, but too much, and my stomach tells me about it in no uncertain terms! π

Ooohhh, I see. π That makes sense!

And…if the salsa burns my tongue, I just go for the guacamole dip. Although that can have some spicy stuff in it too. In that case, I just crunch on a few chips. However, ya gotta leave room for dinner!

Mmm, guacamole is good too! π Haha, that’s true. XD

Yes it is…but it can put pounds on ya too! But you are probably too young to worry about weight problems yet…

LOL! Really? I’ve never heard that!
I’ve always been strange in that I can eat what I want and never gain weight. I’m a whopping 105 pounds. π

Wow, you don’t even weigh enough to give blood! How tall are you…maybe 5’3″ or so? You can eat all the “guac” dip you want! I’m 6’5″ and about 235! That’s quite a bit of difference…

LOL, I had no idea! Though if I did try to give blood, I’d probably faint anyway. XD I think I’m about 5’6.
Haha, and I shall! π΄
Wow! It is! I’d certainly be looking up to you! π

Ha…you might not even be up to my shoulders! You know what was funny, in college I had a girlfriend who was 4’10. We really looked like a pair walking around everywhere! I got in trouble with her because I asked her sister out on a date…what was I thinking! Oh that was a long time ago.

Well, her sister was a bit better looking, (I know, how shallow), but I was only a youngster and was guided by such things then. I never thought they would talk to each other about things!
Anyway, I saw my old girlfriend about a year later. Her sister obviously helped her with some clothes and makeup and she looked a lot better. I tried to get her to go out with me again, but she turned me down. Imagine that!
