Just When…

just-when

I made this a while ago and decided it was perfect for Color Your World: Robin Egg Blue. πŸ™‚ A friend told me it is a red-spotted purple swallowtail – but it looks black and blue to me. πŸ˜‚

  1. Isn’t that true of we “human butterflies”! Just when things are darkest and we can’t see our way out, our Lord points us to His way that reflects His plan for us, and life is abundant and more satisfying than anything we could have imagined! Thanks for this post and the beautiful picture.

  2. I think if you look closely at the wingtips there are two red spots (hard to see in that photo), thus the “red-spotted” purple. I’m not sure about the “purple” part though πŸ˜€. The underside of the wings kinda have some purple coloring – note the word “kinda” though (Well, it’s not really a word, but you know :D) And actually, I think its in the Admiral family. The cool thing about it is, it can interbreed with the White Admiral and make a hybrid. I once caught one of the hybrid versions once and had trouble identifying it until learning that πŸ˜‚. Oh, and BTW I nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award. I just realized you’ve gotten the award before, but hey, getting it twice can’t hurt, right? πŸ˜‚ Here’s the link: https://stickynotequotes.wordpress.com/2017/03/01/one-lovely-blog-award/
