Very nice photo. Birds are something I love to photograph.

Thank you! π I do too, but it is a challenge to get close enough to most get a good shot. I adore your cardinals so much. π

Birds are hard to capture in the camera lens – they seldom sit still. π

Yes, exactly! π The easiest for me to capture were chickens. π Except for this little guy: https://followinghimbesidestillwaters.wordpress.com/2016/08/21/behold-the-fowls-of-the-air/ God must have wanted me to get that photo because not only did it stay still, but I found it in the first place. (The parents weren’t happy about it either…)

Looked at that capture you made of the bird in August – fantastic. π

So does your grandpa have a farm?
LikeLiked by 1 person
He did have a farm, yes. π He had cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, geese and rabbits. (Not all at the same time though.) He died in 2012, so my grandma technically lives on a farm but there are no animals on it, except for the wild geese who still return every year.

Oh it must have been fun to visit your grandpa and grandma on a farm! Sorry to hear he passed away. Hope your grandma is doing well…

It was! π Most of the time. I do remember once when we visited and I ran into the backyard to say hi, and found my grandpa had just killed a chicken and was plucking the feathers… **shivers** There are some parts of farm life that I have no desire to be a part of.
Thanks; yeah, 2012 was a hard year.
Yes, she’s doing well. π

Oh boy, that chicken incident must have been very frightening to you! I think it would “gross me out!” Glad to hear your grandma is doing well…

It was. π Even though I knew that in order for someone to eat a chicken someone had to kill it, it was definitely a shock to actually witness the aftermath of someone killing one. Haha, yes, definitely “gross you out!” XD I went inside before the butchering part happened. There was no way I was going to stick around for that…
