This is week three of the 100 Word Wednesday Challenge, and here is the photo and my response. π Click the link to join in. π According to Microsoft Word, this is 106 words.
I adore this image. It tied my brain in a knot trying to figure it out. Great photo, BikurGirl! π
Iβm down a cavernous hole.
Feels more like a prison.
Bars keep hostage my soul,
But I remember, He has risen!
The walls are slick and steep,
I donβt know how to get out;
He reminds me I am His Sheep,
But it isnβt my efforts that count!
My Shepherd won the battle.
Sin and Death canβt touch me!
Chains that once held me, rattle.
He died in my place and set me free!
He breaks the bars that restrained so long
He gently pulls me out of the hole
His right hand is gentle, yet strong
In one motion, He freed and saved my soul
Thank you for sharing your walk of faith! ” My shepherd won the battle ” is such a beautiful and powerful image!! Prayers for your writing ministry!

A beautiful poem. The Lord has done so much for us! How often do we take time to reflect upon that?!

Thank you! π β₯ He has! Yeah, not as often as we should, I’m sure!

That’s for sure. I’m guilty of that too. We have such “busy” lives that we don’t think of Him and all He does for us as often as we should.

I’m so guilty of that too. I’m always grateful when He gives a small reminder to think of Him. π

Absolutely….me too. If God is at the center of our lives, we should be thinking of Him everyday in some way or another…

Yes, exactly! π I’m trying to make a habit of looking for Him and His creative touch in everything. π
