Love One Another

one-heart-and-mind-jpg

When I turn on the TV or radio, I see so much violence in the world. It is overwhelming and devastating, how much hate there is. People gossiping about people, backstabbing people, using their tongues as weapons. (Paul specifically spoke about this in Ephesians 4:29) In addition, there are so many people hurting one another – physically and mentally – and killing one another. It makes me so sad and sick to see it.

How many times have we been told to love one another? I know it was a lot. Here are a few:

John 15:12: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

First John  3:23: And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

First John 4:7: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

First John 4:11: Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

The hate needs to stop!!!

Let us keep in mind these verses and the poem; love one another! ♥

  1. You are so right…I feel the same way about the world today. However, it must have been even worse in the ancient world. In Genesis 6, we read about how every thought of man was only to do evil, and more evil. In fact it was so bad, it grieved God to say He was sad that He had ever made man on earth! That was right before the flood!

I would have probably hated to live in those days myself…

  2. It is during these times that we are called to remember why Jesus came, lived and died, was resurrected, ascended and now sits at the right hand of the Father to receive our prayers for such a time as this. Have a blessed day as we praise Him and thank Him that by His grace we can pray, love, and trust Him to make the difference in this world. ~ Fran
