Over The Horizon

This is week two of the 100 Word Wednesday Challenge, and here is the photo and my response. ๐Ÿ™‚ If youโ€™d like to participate, click here to read BikurGurlโ€™s guidelines. ๐Ÿ˜‰ According to Microsoft Word, this is 99 words. (Only one word shy and I can’t find a place to add one more word to this! ๐Ÿ˜‚)

I look at the sun going down over the horizon
See that the water is so peaceful presently
It reminds me of the time when the Son
Spoke to it and calmed the raging sea

He also calmed the booming thunder
And He walked on that azure liquid
Leaving all who saw Him in wonder
Because it was as if He were on a solid

This causes me to ponder and to think
He heroically died and rose again for love
That this ball of fire in the sky may sink
But not ever the Son in heaven above

  2. Beautiful! I esp. like the last two lines, “That this ball of fire in the sky may sink
But not ever the Son in heaven above.” A wonderful image. ๐Ÿ™‚

Jesus is our Rock. This poem helps me keep my eyes ahead to what He did on the cross for me to know that the price He paid and how He suffered that we can be conquerors like Him! ๐Ÿ™‚
