Thank you so much, Shattered In Him, for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog Award! π I’m sorry it took me so long post it; I got stuck on thing #5 and it took a while to come up with two more things about me. XD
The Rules
- Thank the person that nominated you and leave a link to their blog
- Post about the award
- Share 7 facts about yourself
- Nominate at most 15 people
- Tell your nominees the good news!
7 Facts About Me:
Coming up with facts was harder than I thought; I didn’t want to repeat myself. XD
- I can write backwards almost as easily as forwards. Not just in print, but in cursive. It’s strange. And it freaks out some people. And annoys other people, when I give them a message and they have to go find a mirror to read it… π
- I’m shy. I’ve posted 95 posts (now 96 posts – I’m so close to 100!) on my blog thus far, and I never thought I would make even close to that milestone. I was so scared to try this new thing called “blogging” at first. I posted twice in April of 2016 and then completely dropped off the face of the blogoshere in May. XD It’s easier to talk to people in text and I finally decided to go for it and began posting again in June. π I’m so glad I did!
- Until last month, I had not seen Frozen. I am probably one of the few people in America who hadn’t. I identify with Anna so much. Even though I’m shy, I have a tendency to ramble to people I know well and am a bit of a klutz too. Okay, maybe a total klutz. If only I had that red hair…π
- I love snow, but we don’t get it much where I live.Β β«βͺ Yes, I want to build a snowman. Come on let’s go and play. I never see snow anymore. It’s snow I’m waiting for. I wanna make a display… βͺβ« (Sing to the melody of “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” from the Frozen soundtrack. π) We finally got about a half an inch last week though! It wasn’t enough for a snowman, unless it could be five inches tall; and when I tried that, it was a powdery, doesn’t-stick-together-to-build-anything-or-even-throw-at-people snow. π At least it was pretty to look at.
- I like learning new words. When I read books, I write down the words I don’t know and then look them up and make a list so that I can memorize them. Catawampus, ignominious, lackadaisical, loquacious, mellifluous, pusillanimous – I think cacophony is probably my new favorite right now. XD
- This is my sixth award! I feel so honored. π
- I live in the Natural State. #southerngirlatheart
Nominees:
Pete Gardner PsalmsΒ (Or Pete Gardner’s Blog or Traveling With Paul)
LeneInJapan (Wrestling with Faith – Dancing with Jesus or Song of Virginity)
Keri L (Who just published her first book!!! Congratulations!)
Yay! Good job for finishing this! I am shy, too, and I think a lot of us on here actually have an introverted nature. π

Haha, I wouldn’t have guessed that you are shy too. It is really nice to meet other shy introverts here. π

I am an IFNJ personality, which is rare. No matter how many times over the last 20 years I have taken a personality test, I come out a strict IFNJ. Very introverted, shy, intuitive, and compassionate. So, I think that compassionate drive for other people helps me to break out of my shyness and attempt to connect. π

Oh wow! π I am an INFP, which is kinda rare too. π I’ve taken the test over and over, and it seems I am more and more INFP each time. XD
I love your assessment; that makes perfect sense. π
Out of curiosity, have you taken this test? This is the one I’ve taken: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

I did the long version of the Myers-Briggs when I was doing psychology in college. Since, I have done other assessments and I also did the one on the link you sent. I am an INFJ all across the board. π

That Myers-Briggs one sounds super interesting. π Wow, that’s great! π

Congratulations, my friend! I almost wanted to accept that because I just changed to award free last night. Well, that’s okay. I am shy also. I built a snowman in 1980 with my leather gloves. Of course the gloves were ruined. Good job with your answers. Thanks again thinking about me.

Aww, so close! If only I had posted a day sooner. π
Oh, I wouldn’t have guessed that. π
That’s neat! I built one a few years ago without gloves. My hands were freezing, but the gloves were getting in my way of adding detail to it. π (So there were many trips inside to warm up.)
Poor leather gloves. XD
Thank you! β₯ And you’re welcome! π

Thank you again. I collected about 10+ awards. That’s good enough. My daughter just sent me another picture – snow stopped, but it’s still cold enough to hold the snow, it hasn’t started emlting yet!

I hope they get to make a snowman before it melts! π

They don’t want to spoil the scene. I think they made one in the nearby park when it snow before Christmas. Check that off!!!

Hi, Following Him, I was just nominated for another award. I don’t know what to do. You are the second oldest blog friend I have had. I feel bad for not accepting the nomination. Would be please so an edit and put my name on again, I’ll acknowledge you. At the mean time, let me see how much time I have to do the two awards. Is it okay?

Aww. π β₯ It’s okay! And I don’t mind at all! The edit has been made! π Take as much time as you need; it took me weeks to complete it when I did it, haha. π Have fun! π

I want to thank you for nominating me for this award anyway! And, I enjoyed finding out more about you, Grace. I wouldn’t have figured you for the shy type. Your writing and comments just don’t come across that way. I love that you can write backwards. People accuse me of writing backwards all the time when they don’t understand what I’m saying…Lol!
So you like new words, eh. I loved them when I was in college! Try “antediluvian,” or “sacerdotal” when you get a chance…( I love the sound of the word “cacophony,” but perhaps not the racket that comes from it)…
Congratulations on your award!

Really? π Haha, I try not to sound that way in text, but I’m painfully shy in person. It’s hard for me to even make an order in a restaurant without getting too nervous. The other day, I ordered ice with no tea for my drink. I meant tea with no ice…. I can laugh about it now, but at the time, I wanted to crawl under the table and hide. π
Aww, thanks. π LOL! XD
You made my inner word nerd very happy with those words! Thanks!
Thank you! β₯

You would never know about how shy you are by your writing! Love the “ice with no tea” story…Lol!
I’m one who was shy as a teen, but became just the opposite as an adult, at least in many ways…

π β₯ LOL, thanks! XD It still makes me laugh. I felt for the waitress though… she was new and I think my request really confused her until I corrected myself. π Maybe one day I’ll lose the fear of speaking to people I don’t know. π
That’s good! π Haha, I’m considered an “adult” now, but I have yet to become less shy. It’s very encouraging to know that you became bolder. π

As you grow older, and see more of the world and the people in it, you should become a bit more bold and naturally speak up more often. However, if not, that’s okay too. It’s nice to have a gentle, loving, and “quiet” person around too…
