Shine And Dazzle

Foggy Morning In Arkansas

You are gold – never dull, You shine like the sun.
But I am silver – I become tarnished by sin.

When asked, You polish me with Your
Blood red cloth so that I reflect You again.

You are a diamond – hardest substance known;
You, Lord, dazzle me with Your brilliance.

I am an uncut stone – shave the worldly lure
From my soul, cut me into Your likeness!

  1. Your humility also “shines” through in this piece! I feel the same way and often pray for more of His will and love…and of course, for forgiveness of sins. A very good poem, Grace!
